201 questions about working at NEXT
I started new, no one helped me or put themselves out to make me feel welcome. I was put down for loads of shifts and hours without being able to take them away and they weren’t contracted.

How are the working hours at NEXT?
Asked 28 September 2017
There was plenty of hours but due to some managers being in a clique was some staff members, they got the best shifts and hours first. Not well organised.

I didn’t even have an interview! I had a telephone conversation which lasted 10 minutes and just was an informal chat, then an assessment which was following 2 “managers” round on shop floor for 20 minutes and rearranging some clothes. They then tell you you have/don’t have the job there and then. This was 3 years ago.

Managers know the pecking order, you don't matter and they do, that runs throughout the whole company, I've only ever met a few members of management that treat you as a person and with respect, most Managers don't care about you, they just want you to work with speed and precision whilst following all health and safety regulations. The moment you step out of line, there are consequences and you'll be lectured about any and all of these aspects by a hypocritical manager who has no real idea about any of it.

Recently the work load has been crazy because of online work and cutting cleaning hours and minimum cover... however still expected to get same jobs done. Stressing managers out and staff are chasing their tails as they cant finish anything off
