Nope, I got sacked for being ill Boxing Day.
Holidays are blocked from 15th dec - 1st Jan. Yes this isn't great. But we know the score ... if people keep wanting the boxing day sale... next will keep making us work it!
During several times of the year, there is something called 'Red Weeks'. This is when management do not allow anyone to have time off, unless it is for medical reasons. The red weeks normally fall over the first week of July for the summer sale, 2-3 weeks around Christmas (16th-30th Dec 2018 were the dates) and then maybe over the sale in late September. So no, you will not be allowed to go on holiday over Christmas.
No, like someone said above it ruins your Christmas working at Next as you have to work Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve as well as doing extra hours to prep for the Boxing Day sale
No I worked Xmas eve and Boxing Day and New Year’s Day .My Xmas was ruined and went to bed at 10 New Year’s Eve .My contract day was Tuesday but don’t pay you changed my days to suit them
No, you can't.
They don't allow you time off in Demember under any circumstances and you must work Christmas Eve and Boxing Day
No as these are very busy times for the business
At Next, they have what they call red weeks, where no one can book time off. The entirety of December is red and then two weeks around the summer sale is usually red. I remember a few years back, a young guy, maybe 17 or 18, his family booked a holiday over Christmas so he missed the sale. He was dismissed.
Not during Christmas sale week, this is not allowed
