Good salary if you don't like being at home
HGV Class 2 Driver (Current Employee) - Mossend - 14 February 2022
As the summary says, the pay is good but you can expect running 2-3 hours later than the manifest as standard, with 14 hour shifts common. Routes and manifests are a joke, obviously devised by someone with no real world experience; you are never given enough time to complete deliveries, or for driving time between drops. You will be expected to drive your Class 2 vehicle into places they should not be driven, and god forbid you express this or any other negativity to the helpdesk, as they will do absolutely everything in their power to stop you failing a delivery. The actual drivers are generally great, managers are decent as they get dealt a poor hand from the higher-ups, but do expect being paired with the odd agency boy for a drivers mate who just wants to sit on their phone all day and contribute the bare minimum. Pros Decent pay, colleagues Cons Poorly devised manifests/routes, no work-life balance, unrealistic demands
Pros
Good salary and colleagues
Cons
No work/life balance, unrealistic expectations for time, atrocious route planning

Safe and secure enviroment
LGV Driver (Former Employee) - South Elmsall, West Yorkshire - 24 September 2020
Easy work. Good working equipment and very well maintained. Unfortunately the management don't last long. Store staff can be very helpful at times and totally lazy at others. The job is what you want to make it.
Pros
Non stress
Cons
Be over flexible for the drivers who need to be home to walk there goldfish.
