Overly Stressful and poorly managed

I spent 2 years working for this company in different departments. Overtime is not paid, taking your contracted holidays is always difficult and even though they say processes are standardised they vary from account to account. They have a good range of benefits but most employers do in this business (HR/Payroll). They tend to pile more work on an employee that was is physically manageable. But this is not just on the admins, but on the team leaders and managers as well. They pay their employees relatively little compared to their competitors. They do not train their staff adequately. Regardless of position, a job here would be filled with unpaid overtime, unappreciative managers and you are most likely not going to be given any training I have almost nothing positive to say about this company, I would not advise or recommend anyone to work here.

Terrible employer - terrible management - Avoid

The management are always fighting fires, with the sheer amount of client escalations, so they do not offer any help at all. Instead they keep loading their staff with more and more work till they break. They had THE worst management I have ever worked-for, and are nowhere near the quality of their competitors. Once you say you are struggling with something, or if you try to keep escalating matters the management start their blame game. If you continually work over your hours, and therefore increase your billable hours, there is no recognition verbally or financially, getting 0.25% payrise in my first year, followed by no payrise in my 2nd year. New releases of software are not tested internally competently, therefore issues are found by LIVE CLIENTS, as soon as they are upgraded, terrible way to run a company.

The Company is a great to work for, lots of benefits

The Company is a great to work for, lots of benefits and is situated in a central location. The hours are 8.30 am - 5.00 pm or 9.00 am - 5.30 pm with an hour for lunch.

Professional Services

Very much focused on LME clients and therefore smaller clients can receive less attention. Good BCP and DR practises are in place. Good grounding for learning about HRP applications. Global roles need to be very flexible with time.

A poor company

Upsides flexible working probably the only thing to have kept many people here. Flexible benefits pretty much a joke considering we are a HR company Never have the tools to do your job the culture actively encourages the use of freeware wherever possible. Absolutely no career progression, salaries below par and the expectation for you to take on more work without any extra compensation

No career progression

I left this position due to limited career progression. It is very hard to get a pay rise working for this company and the salary differs greatly from person to person. Someone could be doing the exact same job with same skill set / level and be paid twice what you are.

A disaster waiting to happen.

Clients are regularly lied to and have information witheld from them. L&D is appalling. No communication. Your job could be offshored in an instant. Very low morale in the centre. You will constantly move desks. Cost savings over long term employee/client retention. Overall, even though NGA offers competitive salaries, generous annual leave allowance and has nice surroundings to work in, the company is not one I would recommend seeking employment with.

Great people working for the Company

The people at NorthgateArinso are a pleasure to work with, very hard working and dedicated. Too many restructures and shifts in senior management, goal posts and priorities are changed too often without warning. Not enough resource to manage the increasing workload.

Don't waste your time at the Peterborough location as it is sinking fast.

Morale very low. Salary increase's are very rare as they always say they are not making enough money. When an increase is given it is pennies. Management are not Management material, and very negative and very into themselves. You will always be doing the work of at least 4 people and always overworked at that, as they cannot get new employees to apply or to stay. No training given as there is not time for the existing employees to do this. Always thrown in at the deep end and if you are not a good swimmer you will sink under the pressure.

Running start to finish payroll using Resourcelink Resolving pay queries, calculating SSP, SMP, and SPP, Best part of the job is the interaction with the clients and the employees phoning in with pay queries.

a poorly managed branch

co workers were polite and i learned a large array of skills i enjoyed the payroll and using a variety of programs and having a large responsibility the downside was that the salary plus job security as i worked as a contractor.
