Communications Manager in Birmingham, West Midlands
on 17 July 2022
Great team
I worked in the communications and marketing team for 5 years. I had a great manager and a great team of colleagues to work with.Unfortunately the manager changed after a while and we were managed by a temperamental manager which made work a nightmare. It's one of those things really, it can happen at any workplace.

Not a good workplace!
Unless your face fits you won't get anywhere. The NHS used to be a good place to work but not anymore no staff morale two faced back stabbing employees the list could go on!If you are thinking of applying for a job in the NHS think long and hard about it!!

Overall very good
It is a very good job in the whole, it has its ups and downs but I’ve learnt many social skills and am thankful for the opportunity to serve the community.

NHS staff is very clique and dump on you as much of their work as they can
If you work for most of NHS teams on zero hours contract expect to be overworked by their staff, throwing at you the jobs they don't want to do themselves. If you are friend with the management it's fine because they like favouritism and you'll have hard work life if you don't lick their a..Don't dare to say anything to them or you're not having a job!! In UK unfortunately expect to be treated bad, insulted, overworked and underpaid!! There is no real 'investment in people' as they claim. They don't care about quality and about you!! Make sure you know a lawyer before they dismiss you for nothing -- especially if you dare to tell them their wrongdoings!! Good luck working for NHS!

Physio
Good life work balance till management have unrealistic expectations of caseload management. Amazing staff and nurses working very hard for low pay for what they do. Doctors some brilliant ones and some not so brilliant.
