hard place to work due to management
housekeeper (Current Employee) - Banbury - 2 March 2016
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by Indeedthe new manager from the past year made it very difficult to enjoy the job .it used to be a gd place to work and co workers were happy. hardest part was keeping it all spotless when you had nures and drs stepping on your mops.best part was chatting to patients while cleaning their bed space and making them smile on bad days.
Pros
good sick bennifits
Cons
good hours

Underpaid and under recognised job
As a porter you do more important and risk things but the culture around NHS is like just nurses and doctors exist. Most of the time your work is not recognised and your work with short staff and the payment is just balanced by the unsociable hours and weekends and nights. But the amount of tasks that you do daily ar far more vast than people would expect
Pros
Stability, helping others
Cons
Incredible wrong balance on rota/life, no progression, working in an environment that has no cultural progression and room for improvement.

Overworked, undervalued
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Banbury - 3 April 2019
Job would be so much better if not for extremely bad management, who constant put on you to do more. The problem is too many managers and supervisors all constantly wearing you down. The high staff turnover is evident of this, and yet they are quite picky about who they employ. On the plus side the pay is ok and holidays good.
Pros
Annual leave
Cons
Exhausting physically and mentally
