Over stretched team, understaffed and stressful !
Community nurse for people with learning disabilities (Former Employee) - Sherwood - 22 May 2022
Nursing is understaffed and the nurses and teams in nhs as a whole are expected to work under stressful and risky to patient situations. Poor support for same reason and I found there to be a culture of cliques and favouritism. The job is a reliable source of income but nhs has changed due to all the cut backs affecting patient experience and resulting in low morale at work with little job satisfaction.

Have learned a lot working within NHS about how you can impact on someone's life's and being treated as equally I have learned about mental health act and more about reviews and have much more knowledge that people with learning disabilities that people don,t always need hospital services and more about sections and unlocking barriers learned how local and regional teams work and the barriers people face especially around people on ministry of justice and learned about forsenic teams and learned how management works and policy's are implement locally over coming the barriers especially around commissioning services
