Reviews for Project Manager at NHS
Enjoyed my working life very much
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Remote - 19 May 2023
This was a Fixed Term Contract and unfortunately did not lead to a permanent role despite being highly thought of by my Line Manager. This was terribly disappointing as I put so much into the role. But I loved my job.
Pros
Interesting and motivating work
Cons
Stressful at times

Opportunities for experience, but leadership quality patchy
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 4 March 2023
If you don’t like your role here, give it 18 months as there’s a good chance your team will be reshuffled and/or reorganised. The flip side of all this deckchair-rearranging, or the expectation that you’ll want to move on every 2 years, is that team cultures can vary widely. This can result in senior managers occasionally being very remote; in the worst cases it’s possible for them to get away with unprofessional / borderline-bullying behaviour.

Bad culture, but some good eggs
Project Manager (Former Employee) - Various - 14 December 2019
I have worked in various departments and sadly the underlying culture has progressively got worse over the years.
Management are unqualified and overrun by contractors so often no consistency.
Good workers are overworked and nepotism helps career progression, not talent.
