Low pay lots of work but the lots of support. Work life balance good and supported by staff. Lots of health support and expedition of current waits you might be on

Once you start it’s hard to leave

I worked about 10 years out of 12 people are amazing. Rewarding and life affirming. Vacation and sickness allowance is very generous. Just avoid band 3.

Pros

Time off/sickness allowance

Cons

Hours

Like and loathed it

Large workloads, not enough pay and expected to know everything. The people were nice and the union was a great perk of the job but the management was pretty dire.

Don't feel valued

Don't feel valued. Just another body that can be replaced at anytime is the feeling I get. The holidays and pension are reasonable. Sick pay is also given. Lots of restrictions and enforced changes recently to the detriment of the workers.

Hard slog

Extremely difficult work and over tired. Not well paid and long hours with minimum rest.Mentally exhausting and colleagues can be brutal also. Hard exams.

Good place

12 hours shifts have improved work life balance. Short staffed most shifts but made up with good team work. Hopefully a deserved pay increase in the near future

Ok!

Very good, fun place to work, team is great and work is good. Management is ok, but need more people skills at time. They do expect more from you. Pay not so great

No longer a pleasure

Since the pandemic the work load has been immense, it is difficult to do your properly at times and therefore patients do not always get the treatment they deserve

Pros

Wage, pension, sickness benefits

Cons

Long hours, stressful due to relentless demand

Okay

To much management and not enough workers, sick pay and holiday is good but not enough options for training and career progression. Too many agency workers.

Ok

Understaffed, underpaid. Stressful. But you at least feel like a family when you are there. When you have to stay longer then you are rota'd for you do not get paid for the overtime.

Poor salary supportive manager

I can honestly say that I have been fully supported by my manager is throughout in my position it’s just the salary is not great. Relation is relatively easy to come within the NHS.

Productive and fun workplace

I learned alot whilst working for DHL (NHS). Every day is different and comes across all types of people from all walks of life. Days can get long but worth it when you see smiles on the patients faces

Pros

loads of breaks

Cons

long hours

Busy but ok place to work

Interesting varied role, can be very stressful. Job role very varied good for part time work. Location good, but alot of staff seem to be leaving at the moment.

Pros

Good pension and pay

Cons

Not flexible

Too many targets

Unfortunately any area of the NHS has too many unachievable targets set, particularly by the local Health Boards. No appreciation by those at the very top of those struggling to keep everything going.

Pros

Career progression

Cons

Long long hours

No work-life balance

Since this was a temporary role for six months there was only a compromise in hours, otherwise if this would’ve been a permanent role there would not have been any compromise in the hours, fixed hours. For a single parent this would not have been an ideal job.The work itself had a sense of achievement support and a friendly environment

Pros

Great support

Cons

No compromise in flex hours

Over worked under paid

I think the money paid to receptionist and admin staff is a disgrace. And gps should do the job to understand what we are really worth it’s a very hard job with a lot of responsibility, we get verbally abused most days by patients moaning there are no appointments.

Pros

Job security

Cons

Under valued and under paid

Security

This job is a secure job but very hard working, wage isnt that good specially for the work you are asked to do for your wage. There is progression should u choose.

Not worth the pay anymore

Very intense work with lots of heavy lifting and stressful situations. Legal documentation must be completed. Job qualifications aren't matched to pay anymore.

Cons

Bad pay
