NHS Professionals Employee Review
Challenging but low pay
Outpatient Clerk (Former Employee) - Southampton, Hampshire - 28 September 2023
Hospital are always busy as the phone keep ringing and counters always someone asking questions, quite challenging and you will learn a lot. However, pay was really low and because you are not officially hire by NHS so you will not get paid rise and even don’t get pay on public holidays (Since you only get pay when you go to work) NHS management is a joke, most of them just working from home and left you alone in the front desk. Each department had its own rule and every single time you need to work / contact with them is impossible. The rule of NHS is not patient first, is pointing the finger to others first.

Great company to work for, short term roles to either get experience or fill in gaps in employment, you accrue more annual leave the more you work and every post I’ve been in has been lovely
