Repetitive and boring
Call Centre Advisor (Former Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 26 September 2023
Underpaid and undervalued and management are never about to help. Customers vent their anger throughout your day due to nhs failures. Long waiting times and not sufficient staff numbers to deal with enquiries

Just dont
Assistant (Former Employee) - Hairmyers - 8 September 2023
If your face fits then great but usually youll be left to do all the work whilst the 'clique' either sit on their phones or yell at you for not doing the job of 5 people fast enough. If you dont fit their group then you're out of luck and youll be made aware of that. Work yourself into the ground and do whatever is asked of you just for managers to lie and not even give you the time of day.

Challenging
HR Manager (Former Employee) - Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh - 30 August 2023
I see no point in having HR if the people who then ask advice do their own thing. I was increasingly frustrated by managers with no HR qualifications doing what they thought was the right thing to do. Too many mavericks for my peace of mind.

Doctor (Current Employee) - Inverness, Highland - 25 August 2023
Depends on your job, has some issues but not surprising because it's the NHS, and doubt it is just related to scotland. Completely depends on where you work

The NHS has some of the best doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in the world. Physical activity guidelines: The NHS provides physical activity guidelines for adults aged 19 to 64, which include tips on how to achieve 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity a week 3 . This is important for maintaining good health and preventing chronic diseases. Work experience opportunities: The NHS offers work experience opportunities for people who are interested in pursuing a career in healthcare. This includes advice on setting work plans and tips on how to recruit the best people 4 . Terms and conditions of service: The NHS terms and conditions of service handbook applies in full to all staff directly employed by NHS organizations, except very senior managers 5 .
