Job was ok but basic with no perks. Lots of probs within the company and with the staff. Good boss though who was very fair and supportive and decent work environment.

Asked to move coop as the one I'm working at is far to small and some childish behaviours was told no basically get paid on the 12 done loads of overtime so I'm praying I get paid what I've worked

shocking company don't bother

don't care about colleagues and absolutely no loyalty to them . don't accept there terms and conditions or pay there dues ie bonuses and deny ever offering such benefits

Not good place to work

Unstable hours, no support from hygiene manager. Store management are very harsh and commanding, working hard but no one cares. Cant get holidays too because no one can cover you

NIC has been a great company to work for, they do care very much regarding staffing, and I have been fortunate to have excellent management team. Sorry leave, maybe go back in the future.

Pros

Always have a place of contact, if needed. This is a huge bonus

Hours for budgets are difficult, however I know it’s the need of the business

Terrible company to work for

Dont bother, terrible company to work for . Expected to work 24/7 with little or no help. When you do go home your inundated with emails that if you dont answer asap you are threatened with a warning. Company is full of people that have no clue what they are doing and are giving the job because they are friends with the area managers.

long hours they expect you to work long hours because bad contract with client.they don't pay any hours over you contract even if you do very bad management the company is as good as management, HR don't really care about your problem ,they look after them self i have work more 13 hours per day not been allow to take breaksto any one thinking to work for NIC please don't

The company doesn't bother me only see manager when need cleaning items. Doesn't bother me or really check up on me but that's how I myself like it just get on with the job

It's a great place to work as there is a variety of different tasks to do. Some days it's easy other days it's hard.Downside is you have to work in school holidays

The good , bad & the truth

Like every work place there is the good and bad people . The good people that work there support and help in anyway they can and work with other members of staff like a team but then there’s other people that think they are above anyone who works there and doesn’t care about feelings or anything other then them selves . Complaints get overlooked for certain staff members and then others get done for stuff that others would get away with there are definitely managers with staff they will prioritise over other member and then there’s managers that do all they can , most of the staff are very friendly and easy to get along with even when there’s cover for a few days always really polite and easy to get along with … not a driven role as you are constantly at one Level if you wanted to start at a cleaner and work up to manager doesn’t work that way . Hours are set hours not flexible, some staff members harder to contact then others and takes weeks to get a response if you get any at all

Very poor management & attitude

Direct manager is awful, bad attitude. Severely Lacks management experience and has no people skills. Dislikes female employees. No uniform provided. Never knew what atmosphere you would be walking into in the morning.

Busy but relaxed workplace

As a hygiene manager for NIC, I have found that for the majority of the time it's relatively easy and straight forward. There is occasionally pressure if you find yourself short staffed, as support from other stores isn't always available.

Rubbish draining

Expected to vissit 6 stores in neighbouring towns and even one in london while i wa son holiday. Give you no hours but expect you to be able to get all the store clean in 2 hours. Don't provide correct equipment. No managers come to help or check in on you. I had to cut a holiday short in risk of loosing my job as a cleaner didnt show. None of my travel costs were covered as promised. spent close to £400 on travel and saw nothing back then didnt send me my last pay packet.

shocking place to work thats why i left staff treat you bad they shout they swear and are really nasty to u they dont what is wrong with you they just want to you to work

you get your wage cut dawn by 40% if you eat at work

Cons

you start at 6 in the morning and finsh at 2 at night 7 days a week.

Having worked for NIC for under 5 years. I would not recommend them as a company that values its employees. No recognition fir going above and beyond. Would not work for them again .Have worked for many cleaning companies.
