Very bad place to work
It all starts at management level, absolutely no idea how or what is involved on how to be a manager. The transport manager has now idea, if you voice your concern his answer is well go home then. The fleet is in a disgusting state, shouldn’t be on the road (rigid) The planer hasn’t got a clue your continually driving up and down the same roads for most of the day.Long hours and so much pressure put on the drivers to get delivery’s completed even when not achievable. The drivers at ningbo are great lads and it was a shame to say good bye but couldn’t take poor management roles any longerIf your new to HGV then it could be a good place to start, but with vehicles constantly breaking down I wouldn’t bank on it. Absolutely NOW driver welfare. They have a massive turn over of drivers and always advertising for replacement drivers not because they are growing or expanding. All my comments only apply to the class 2 role and class 1 multi drop.

Good work life and security
Not the highest paid company but certainly the best in terms of work life balance. Most days you do 8 hr's and get paid in full. If you need a short day for family arrangements long as you give them a couple days notice you can have a earlier finish. You do get some routes that send you to E post codes in 18 tonne trucks which can be annoying but still better than other places i ve worked in. Company has a 750 kg policy with pump trucks so any pallets heavier they need to supply you with an electric pump truck or it gets taken off

Lack of leadership
They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. A lack of leadership and action made this a hard place to work, should have left sooner! Lots of corporate gloss with little substance.

Great job
Fantastic company to work for, everyone was always polite , never any pushing to get anything done. The management always asked if we were able to do something and always asked for our opinion on what vehicles were best used for jobs

No review thanks
Long hours, no concern for driver welfare, no concern for o’ licence compliance.Drivers give their constructive feedback to management regarding the daily duties and concerns but it falls on deaf ears.
