Manager (Current Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 9 June 2022
Worked here for a while now and found the people and culture to be a breath of fresh air compared to the companies I have worked in previously. A clear focus now there has been a change in senior management with a clear moral business code.
Pros
People, location, culture. ethics
Cons

Oversized, Outdated, Not great to work for
Systems Support Technician (Former Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 15 May 2022
Not a great place to work overall. Limited onsite parking, outdated technology that hinders homeworking, poor training and a tiny office that's too small to handle the existing workforce. Really don't recommend this company if you have a learning disability.

Management have no idea what is happening on the ground.
General Assistant (Part-time) (Current Employee) - Norwich - 8 May 2022
This company doesn’t care about its staff at all, management is outdated and old fashioned . Norse used to be a great company to work for but it’s gradually outgrown itself and management have lost touch with what’s really happening. Pay difference between cooks and catering staff is minimal ,overtime is never paid but always expected, cooks get paid a lot less than chefs but do the same job. The teams work well when the staff turn up but most are under appreciated and stressed out. The attitude is as long as the jobs getting done everything is fine.

Very happy with my time at Norse
Manager (Current Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 12 April 2022
Been here a few years, great company, great colleagues. Company is fast paced and challenging, but that’s how I like it. Continuous business growth, new challenges everyday, it’s a pleasure to be involved in a busy working environment with job security in such uncertain times.

Jobs at NORSE GROUP
Easy work
School Cleaner (Former Employee) - Exmouth, Devon - 8 April 2022
I worked 2 hours a day after college cleaning classrooms. The work was easy to complete within the 2 hour timeframe although depending on what rooms you get the difficulty may change due to needing different equipment and how long it takes to use it. Overall was a good first job I’ve had no negative experiences with it.

People are considered as disposable and easily resources
HR (Former Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 26 March 2022
The general approach is that people are easily replaceable and therefore there is a lack of training and development available to support individuals.

Supportive Senior Management
Group Health and Safety Manager (Former Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 22 March 2022
A change in Senior Management is driving this company forward. A great organisation to work for with fresh new ambitions. Many roles to choose from across the UK. Apprenticeships also encouraged

This is a company thats focused totally on gain with no consideration for its employees
Catering Assistant (Current Employee) - Norfolk - 7 March 2022
They give you a job role but are constantly piling extra things onto you . You’re made to feel like you have to take on extra responsibility,if you work hard they give you even more work, they push and push until you break. No thankyous,no breaks ,the pay is ridiculously low considering what you’re expected to do,they are so short staffed it’s ridiculous, all the general workers are doing 3 peoples work while the managers do very little and most of them can’t do their jobs efficiently ,the organisational skills of management in this company are nil. The managers actually act like they’re doing you a favour letting you work there ,the attitude is deplorable. If your face fits or you’re someone’s mate you’re alright if not you’ll be taken full advantage of .

Cons
Low pay, no staff

Not a great company to be employed by. Management is shocking. Avoid….
Security Officer (Former Employee) - Medway, Kent - 28 February 2022
I worked as a security officer at Medway Norse i wouldn’t recommend this company at all. They tried to force me to work other sites as well as night shifts, mobile response security. I applied and had a interview to work as a security officer across three household waste recycle centres and that’s the job I was given so why would i be forced to do other sites/shifts that wasn’t in my job description? Majority of the time you wouldn’t get a break because there wasn’t a mobile response officer available to cover you while you had a break. The company is badly run and for that reason staff don’t tend to last long. The security huts would be dirty so I found myself constantly cleaning up after other staff. I was working at Medway Norse for well over a year and never received a formal contract and when staff asked for their contract we were told HR are dealing with them. Booking holidays you’d find yourself constantly chasing management to find out if it’s been approved! The salary across Medway Norse is terrible. Pros you got a uniform and boots. Cons you will work a lot of weekends, You probably won’t get a break. No backup from management. Best thing I did leaving this horrendous company.

Fun to work for, very busy
Catering Assistant (Current Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 28 February 2022
I’ve worked for Norse for 5 years, I’d say they’re a pretty good company to work for. The bits I like- only working in term time (it’s in a school) and the fact that we’re always busy
