Decent pay, rewarding work and good colleges

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
The work is great, with plenty of variation which keeps the monotony at bay. Most of the staff get along well. There's usually a good amount of breaks throught the day.

Pros

Breaks, pay is OK, rewarding work

Cons

Very stressful when things go wrong ( often), this is the NHS so no free brews or food

ok

very stressful environment to work in as it is very understaffed everywhere. Shift patterns are very good and can have a lot of time off in one go. but when you are actually there it is very stressful and you feel under appreciated.

Pros

days off

Cons

long hours

Great Company

terrible salary for the skill set, including on call, routinely worked a lot more than what I had to. The job itself wasn't too bad, but very hard to do with bad management who don't care one bit abut patient care but more abut stats

Hard work but good career

Worked for pennine for 11 years, plenty of training for people who want to go higher. Worked with some fantastic people. I've learnt lots while working here and I've gained some great qualifications, but you have to take the rough with the smooth if you plan on working here.

Pros

Good pay, great holiday benefits

Cons

Long hours, short staffed

awful manager

terrible salary for the skill set, including on call, routinely worked a lot more than what I had to, but this was irrelevant as my face didn't fit. Terrible head of service delivery that constantly picked and looked for faults even though I was the hardest working member of the team as my stats proved. queue system for progression, amount of work done not relevant, more a case of if you were pally with certain people. The job itself wasn't too bad, but very hard to do with bad management who don't care one bit abut patient care but more abut stats

Pros

wasn't stuck in office

Cons

lazier people whos face fits do better

Role changed

A very varied job role that evolves over the years but due to cut backs by the government I now look after three departments and cover for a fourth department when their clerk is off for annual leave or sickness . Two much work for one clerk but not enough to employ a second clerk so pay overtime to other clerks. A lot of long term staff have left my original department.

Pros

Flexi time

Cons

Poor training
