Property Manager in Euston, Greater London

Overworked and underpaid
Some schemes should have a dedicated property manager. We are talking big estate with 80 plus residents and sometimes you are managing 2 or 3 of those. Housing Officer in St Pancras, Greater London

Friendly work environment
People and managers at Notting Hill Genesis are very friendly and supportive. However they need to be more open to new ideas and find better ways of doing things more efficiently. Staff are currently overworked and not able to effectively assist their tenants because of this.Property Management Officer (leasehold) in Kings Cross, Greater London

I wouldn’t recommend
You are likely to be overworked and under appreciated at NHG. There are departments within the company that are meant to assist the PMO, however there is little to no assistance and effectively, you will still be responsible for anything that may go wrong. The managers are unlikely to assist in the stress level that you will incur, as they are also overworked and have high work loads to complete. Additionally, they implemented a new system where residents can provide feedback on the service that they received directly from the PMO. The problem with this is that most residents will naturally complain about their experience with the company, instead of the service that you’ve just provided. As such you will likely receive a poor rating, and sadly once again this will be your fault. All in all I wouldn’t recommend it as you will not receive the support that you need from senior management. Especially when things become manic, because they will. You can only excel in the job if a right person is in your side or a friend. My manager has no idea about daily work
I don’t think the culture will ever change in Notting Hill Genesis. Managers have got no idea about daily work so staff don’t get the support they need. Too much pressure to go back to the office with no protection following COVID, no regulations in place. Staff gets COVID too often. There’s “get on with it or else” cultureWhat would you say about your employer?
