Part-time Lecturer in Nottingham
on 9 February 2022
Demanding job as is expected. Significant improvements since SLT changes in 2021.
Work with an amazing, supportive and highly skilled team. Changes to senior management and the CEO have made a positive impact on staff. It is already clear that they understand what teaching staff do and face, with the demands of the job.

Staff nice, management don’t know what there doing
People I work with are lovely but management don’t know what there doing, pay is low, hours long, work load getting more each day. Communication is poor.
Customer Service Advisor in Nottingham

Poor work environment lacking flexibility and fair pay
This workplace treats it apprentice's poorly allowing them to train those of a higher pay and position than themselves, lack flexibility through working hours or locations, has a poor attitude towards feedback. Staff are all friendly and some members of management care however values are not upheld and EDI training needs to be increased. You do not feel appreciated for the work you do and it lacks incentives to work harder and has a poor working atmopshere.
Tutor in Nottingham, Nottinghamshire

Would not recommend
The department I am working for is disorganised and was not ready for a new starter. Totally unprepared and not knowing what to do. The manager didn’t have knowledge of what a tutor needs at the start to enable them to teach. There was no guidance and mentoring, no consistency and communication from the manager. Felt like a ship in the middle of the sea with no clear direction.
