Avoid , Avoid, Avoid
In my experience mangament is weak and many are incompetent.Questioning and challenging are not encouraged. If staff have done they have been bulliedClinical specialists are not valued .A typical day requires staff to see as many clients as possible regardless of clinical outcomes.
Nottinghamshire healthcare NHS foundation trust are not culturally competent. There is no career progression for BAME groups. There is no consistency in patient care The management do not care about their staff’s wellbeing
Administration in Nottinghamshire
The NHS Institution
The NHS is an institution that I've worked in and out of over the years, it hasn't changed although where I work currently we are NOT relentlessly bullied and discriminated against as admin staff like we were in Local Mental Health Services (my preferred field but I will never go back thanks to that experience). Some staff both clinical and non-clinical have never ventured outside the NHS and therefore have acquired an entitlement to everything apart from working. My previous management team (the head known as the smiling assassin) made working within the NHS torture, however, there are good people which I have found within a new role. I needed a 2 year break in to the private sector to recover from the mental trauma and starvation suffered from poor wages and poor management, but I came back the NHS to help support it during these challenging times.Overall it is usually a stable place to work, unfortunately many take liberties, especially with the excuse of Covid to fall on - endlessly sick, stress and whatever excuse can be made for 6 months full pay sick leave. Unfortunately there is no incentive to really work hard, as you will get paid as long as you turn up and you'll go up the pay grade regardless. The work isn't really that hard and the systems are fairly old so not difficult to use.
Facilities Cleaner in Gainsborough
Facilities staff treated terribly, nursing staff treated well
I was lied to in my interview about the job, the shift patterns, thee hours, being able to go to college Monday to Wednesday alongside it.It took two months from being told I had the job for them to give me a start date.Hours are terrible, lots of short days.My partner is a nurse here though and absolutely loves it, is treated really well
