I have been with Novus for just over 6 months, the staff, management and service users are all really lovely and I am very happy working for Novus. This is one of the best care company I have worked for, they do listen to you about the rounds and have been flexible with my rota when needed. Help goes both ways. Office staff and management have been supportive when I have had personal issues. I have recommended Novus to others and I will be staying with Novus in the future.
Novus care is a very enjoyable and helpful company to work at. With all my time working here the management and team have been very supporting and welcoming. Novus care are also very good for their flexibility therefore when you have a sudden issue with childcare or emergency appointments they will take care of this to ensure that you get the best service they can give.
Supportive management and team
I have worked for Novus care for just over a year and can honestly say I love it. Its by far the best company I've worked for especially for flexibility. If you can only work certain hours due to school runs, hospital appointments etc they will always accommodate you. I can't really find any negatives apart from a little more travel time between calls would be helpful but every company I've worked for have had the same policy on travel time... so apart from that, there aren't any negatives. Staff and management are absolutely lovely, and so are the service users. Very strict with keeping training up to date but I believe that's a bonus and proves its a well lead company. I've always had plenty of support if little problems have arose on a shift and I'm looking forward to many more years at Novus care.

Novus care is shocking the management and communication is terrible non paid training then charged for it when you leave they’re all about taking in that company no giving just taking they compare you to other staff they don’t listen the money well don’t go there I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work there I wouldn’t let them loose with my hamster let alone a human being!
Started off ok for the first week, sent me out shadowing once and then made me go out on my own (same story with every single staff member) training is 3 days 9-5 UNPAID !!! travel time is 15/20 between each call UNPAID !! some travel is 20/25 minutes driving between each call UNPAID !! Phone calls every single day on your day off at 5.30/6am because incompetent staff call in sick every single day, I think personally it’s because very weirdly you aren’t allowed to be friends with colleagues so no one cares about who covers shifts when everyone rings in sick daily. Management are a joke, not once while I worked here was the rota I was sent for the following week accurate it changed daily every single week. Toxic , stressful , rude and staff are trained so terrible because they’ve been rushed into working so medication errors happen daily and no calls complete to a high standard of care at all.

New staff get sent to Canvey for 5 days training UNPAID. Staff rush to get done eg starting calls way too early and the office let them get away with it. Definitely a lot of favouritism and gossiping/bullying. Only paid for call times, you’re not paid whilst your driving so the pay is terrible in all honesty. Completely unsupportive if you have to phone in sick. Always call you to say they’ve had to change your calls. Avoid applying it’s not worth it advice is don’t apply

This company is awful. No work breaks, when you complain about this they say driving is a break. Hilarious. No support from managers and office staff are basically stuck up their own backside. Pay is ridiculous, how do they expect you to live on so little?... if you're sick they HOUND you to do your shifts.
The company really supports people to gain more skills and coach you through the levels within the company, they take their time to support carers, senior carer and office staff to further their career within care. The directors and ops team are very supportive. I loved my time with Novus care and only moved on to gain more experience within the care sector. I would highly recommend working with Novus care

I was offered the job. You don’t get paid for training. Training was rushed. I was sent out shadowing before they received my references and due to problems receiving references they took job offer away. Do didn’t take me on so they didn’t have to pay me for shadowing or fuel
Don’t pay travel so your earning less than the minimum wage which is illegal
Started out ok for the first week or so, then, boom!! Getting you to do extra work when you were told in your interview that you didn’t have to. Manager, foul mouthed and talking about staff. Deputy manager, loud and rushing all tge time not knowing what to do first. Care co-ordinator stressed with the staff Rotas, putting jobs into people without telling the carers. Staff complaining that their Rotas keep on changing due to staff holidays and staff sickness. Ridiculous hours, not long enough breaks. Overworked carers.
Everything about the job and the company
I only started a few months ago but feel like I’ve been here for a long time as the staff make you feel welcome and also will help with anything you need to know . The girls in the office are really approachable . The training I was given before going out working on my own was outstanding . All service users that I have seen are very happy and comfortable with the staff at Novus care . I love working at this company .
I have only been with Novus care for 3 weeks, I took on my role during the world crisis that we are having at the moment. It is a very busy time, but I do feel that I have the support needed to learn and succeed in my role as care coordinator. I am so far happy with the role and will like to continue and be here to see and help the branch grow and expand.
I have never enjoyed a job so much. Not only are the clients lovely but so is everyone who works for the company. Managers, supervisors and Seniors are all absolutely amazing and everyone looks out for each other. the care provided is incredible, i have learnt so much and made so many new friends. i would define my recommend this company to anyone!
Novus care Wickford is a very good company to work for. Management are friendly and overall I find the job very rewarding. The Wickford office is new and they are growing the area. Saying that it is growing steadily.
Training is miles away and useless. Office staff are rude and incompetent, slating carers and even clients off to each other. Don’t get paid for training or shadowing, which I did for 2 weeks while I waited for my dbs and they didn’t tell me. When it came my car broke down so I had to get it fixed and couldn’t work in community for a week, they told people I knew that I had been fired and didn’t tell me until I rang tham to ask and they said it was true and I should’ve been told through a passing message. Absolutely vile company
