Challenging but a very rewarding sector to be a part of
Service Manager (Current Employee) - Bicester, Oxfordshire - 24 June 2022
I am new to NRS, I started in February 2022. Parts of my role are challenging but I really do love that the work that I do, does really make a difference to individuals within my community. The local team in Bicester are made up by a diverse range of colleagues but on the whole there are really good people that work there.

They say it’s improved it not changed for the better
DT2 (Current Employee) - West Sussex - 26 April 2022
Nothing has changed other than the regional manger is in more often but still does not speak with the drivers. The staff are over worked and under paid for the job we do. Management don’t care about us

NRS Healthcare- more than a Community Equipment provider also has a Clinical division
Service Manager (Current Employee) - South - 22 April 2022
Most people associate NRS Healthcare with being a community equipment provider for councils and the NHS, I would like to raise awareness for the Cliniacl division that is invaluable to every service contract. NRS employ their own Occupational Therapists who work side by side with the service and also are an excellent asset when communicating with service Commissioners and Prescribers, As a Service Manager in NRS having our own OT’s is excellent for their expertise in the clinical decisions and advice with suitable equipment, NRS also have equipment that is directly owned by the council/NHS which the OT’s play a massive part in cataloging, NRS is leading the service provider field in having a dedicated clinical division who are very much integrated into the NRS family. The regional OT that covers Southampton, Portsmouth, Kent, Brighton & Hove & West Sussex has the best interests of the service, commissioner’s, prescribers and services users as the number one priority, is always available and nothing is too much, it is a pleasure to work with the OT team
Pros
Professional and cliniacl decisions in house, expertise
Cons
Nothing

Fantastic Team work and feeling valued
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Bicester, Oxfordshire - 22 April 2022
The whole team from the Warehouse, Customer Services and the Driver Techs the last few months have had a massive culture change with new Management, the Service Manager has been in place for a few months and is amazing, very approachable, listens and actually does what they say they will do, no false promises. It is a pleasure coming into work. The days can be hardwork but the excellent communication and organisation makes it great. The DT3 is also very supportive and will always be available to help, working at NRS is a very rewarding job, helping people.

Excellent culture and work environment
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Southampton, Hampshire - 22 April 2022
It baffles me to read the negative comments from current or previous employees of NRS Healthcare, I find NRS to be 100% transparent, the team in Southampton are fantastic, the Operations Manager and the Service Manager are extremely approachable and listen, I really enjoy working with my NRS family, we all help each other and are all very proud to undertake the delivery, collection, repair, cleaning and recycling of community equipment on behalf of the Coty Council and the NHS, training and support is brilliant, it is a hard job but the excellent way we are treated makes it easier, 1.5 rate overtime is excellent, we all take massive pride in what we do, following all processes to make it the best Health & Safety environment, I highly recommend a career with NRS Healthcare
Pros
Job satisfaction, teamwork, valued and appreciated, excellent Overtime rate
Cons
Nothing

Fantastic Team and workplace culture
Customer Service Assistant (Current Employee) - Littlehampton, West Sussex - 21 April 2022
I am a colleague in Customer Services, we undertake alot of phone calls and undertake admin tasks, this can be non stop but it is made a lot easier with the people that I work with, the atmosphere is always upbeat, there are opportunities to progress, a Customer Service Team Leader position is now available and I have put my name in the hat, this is something I or others would not of thought about going for a few months ago, there is a new Management structure and the onus is to promote from with in with the new Team Leader opportunities, I enjoy helping people, communicating and it is amazing when you get positive feedback that you have made a difference in their lives with the undertaking the supplying of medical equipment. We are an extremely busy depot and serve the county of West Sussex on behalf of West Sussex County Council and the NHS and it’s been amazing what we do and the service NRS provide, I am extremely proud to be part of this team management are extremely easy to approach and you are listening to, I recommend working here definitely.
Pros
Excellent Teamworking ethic and culture, feel like a family
Cons
Very busy but it os made easier with the workplace culture and supportive management

TUPE was the best decision
Minor Adapts Techician and multiskilled in all other roles (Current Employee) - Southampton Current, Previously Portsmouth - 21 April 2022
I have been with NRS for nearly 2 years, I TUPE’d over from MHC on 1st July 2020, I work in Southampton but started in Portsmouth. NRS have given me excellent opportunities, I have been trained in all aspects of the job role in all the different departments, Warehouse, Driver Technician, Ceiling Track Hoists, Service & Maintenance and Minor Adaptations. I also help support other depots with any activity issues, this makes me feel incredibly valued and trusted, management in both Southampton & Portsmouth are extremely supportive and approachable, I enjoy coming to work, the culture is brilliant, every colleague is helpful and there is a massive one team ethos. I look forward to what the future holds, since being TUPE’d there has been only support, guidence and opportunities.
Pros
Opportunities, support & training, Van to travel to and from work
Cons

Job Satisfaction
Warehouse Operative (Current Employee) - Littlehampton, West Sussex - 20 April 2022
Great place to work, you are treated with respect, made to feel valued and appreciated. Everyone is extremely helpful, the team ethos is exceptional, this is from Management all the way through the team. I would recommend a career with NRS in any role, I have been fortunate to have started in the Warehouse/Decon and by showing initiative and a good work ethic I have been trained to undertake driver technician work, if you have a good work ethic are reliable and flexible you will go far and you are treated with respect and are listened to. Management know the job role and have worked their way to get where they are so they relate to all job roles. The job is extremely hard sometimes as you are dealing with service users so you need to have empathy but it is all worth it as it is extremely rewarding job something to be proud of.
Pros
Rewarding job, management and the team as a whole are fantastic
Cons
Nothing

Opportunities for progress
Driver Technician (Current Employee) - Littlehampton, West Sussex - 20 April 2022
I have been a colleague at NRS Healthcare West Sussex in Littlehampton for just over 6 months, when I first joined I have to be honest and say I didnt enjoy it, Management would never come out of their Ivory Towers, felt overworked and under appreciated. In the last 1 - 2 months there has been a change, I now come into work and look forward to the day ahead, new Management are approachable, honest and actually say good morning now, there has been a few internal Team Leader positions created, this gives the team the message that NRS want to progress from with in and give colleagues opportunities, I have applied for a DT3 which is a Team Leader in the driver team, A few months ago I wouldn’t dream of having the confidence to apply for such a position but now we feel valued appreciated and our problems will get sorted out rather than brushed under the carpet or false promises cannot wait to see what the future holds. When the regional director visits site he is always approachable and this also makes people feel valued and appreciated.
Pros
Management listen, appreciate and value colleagues, van to take hone, opportunities to progress
Cons
Nothing

Driver Technician (Current Employee) - Littlehampton, West Sussex - 20 April 2022
I have recently started with West Sussex NRS Healthcare in Littlehampton and from the very first day I knew I made the right decision. The Operations Manager was great at the interview and took time in getting to know me and wether NRS was the right fit for me, I was over the moon when the hob was offered. I am really proud of what NRS do and now I am part of it, helping people live as best independantly as possible with the community mediacal aids we deliver, collect, repair and also clean and recycle to be used again. I have been made to feel so welcome by the team, Management are extremely approachable and nothing is too much. Thank you for the excellent introduction and long maybit continue.
Pros
Van to take home, training, a job to be proud off, excellent teamwork, Management
Cons

Cultural shift for the better
Driver Technician (Current Employee) - Littlehampton, West Sussex - 14 April 2022
There has been in recent weeks a massive shift in culture for the better, this is due to previous management leaving, the depot looks and feels so much more welcoming, before you would raise a concern and it was never dealt with, now it feels like we will be listened to, colleagues feel we are now valued and want to progress, before it was if your face fits. Things have changed, support is fantastic and we are communicated to instead of being like a mushroom in the dark. I speak for the whole team and we are so pleased that we now have Management that care about their team. I have been here for 12 years and I have never felt as valued and appreciated as I do now.

Boring and no one’s got a clue
Customer Service Agent (Current Employee) - Norwich - 11 January 2022
The job would be okay if everyone pulled their weight. You can’t give clients a good answer/ reason for anything, particularly when something is coming back into stock. The job is boring, management feel clique-y, no progression and not a positive environment to be in.
Pros
None
Cons
Company communication
