Awful mental health support
Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Little Hulton - 6 September 2023
Never supported with mental health even though told before starting the job. Hardest part of job is finding shifts that are available and fit with your own schedule. A lot of shifts were very late when handed out (day before) and would be guilt tripped regularly- “we’ve got no one else to do it”

Health Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - 24 August 2023
Great team of office staff, good training although I wish we had more practice with equipment like hoists. Only left the Cheltenham branch due to lack of work in the area I lived in

Rewarding, carers are great to work with, flexibility
Home Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Dover, Kent - 14 August 2023
Rewarding work giving clients support to remain in their homes, a great team of carers to work along side, hours are there depending on your level of flexibility, good job for working around other commitments, office staff conduct themselves professionally for the most part.

You need to be serious and committed about your work to be a good fit for Nurseplus!
Senior Carer Assistant (Current Employee) - Various - 14 August 2023
Every day is different with it's own set of challenges depending on your placement. Most important thing I've leaned is ensure that you enjoy your day - laugh, engage, find your place in the team. I have found NursePlus to be very supportive in sticky situations, and put a lot of effort into ensuring that their agents are well trained.. Their response rate is spot on, and support staff work very hard into ensuring you have regular bookings. I am very happy working with NursePlus!
Pros
Positive support
Cons
None as yet

One of the best care agency
Health Care Assistant/Support Worker (Current Employee) - Cheltenham, Gloucestershire - 13 August 2023
Nurse is the best care agency I have worked with as the give all their carers face to face training to make sure carers are competent in their jobs. I really learnt alot after the training which makes me even more confident and happy with my role. I strongly recommend Nurse to any care home looking for an agency and to any carer out there looking for job.
Pros
Very friendly staffs
Cons
At your own convenience

Okay place to work
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Southampton - 20 July 2023
Great to earn money as student as you can book your own shifts but the place you work at some permanent staff may look down on you and be bossy with you
Pros
Flexible
Cons
No shifts at certain times of the year

Agency Work
SUPPORT WORKER/ HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT (Former Employee) - Devon - 20 July 2023
Agency work. You get to choose your hours and days to work. Getting shifts can be a bit challenging at first but you can settle in as time goes on. Good starting place if you have no experience.
Pros
Flexible hours

Office staff don’t care just do the bare minimum
Agency Worker (Former Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 14 July 2023
When I found places I was comfortable working they stopped sending me even though the home was requesting me specifically. Don’t care about mileage from where you are or getting you anything closer just Chuck you wherever. If you can’t cover a shift they threaten you even if you work more than full time hours

Great company
Health Care Assistant/Support Worker (Current Employee) - Ashford - 11 July 2023
Great mainly in-person training program, any training needed they will provide it for you. The ladies in the office are amazing, never pressured into taking jobs , they try and give you the places they know you enjoy and always there for a chat if you need one, very understanding. Great variety of work on offer, only issue is some weeks there's not alot of shifts, this is often made up for other weeks when there's alot.
Pros
Flexible / good pay rates
Cons
Training is unpaid

Decent to work for
Health Care Assistant (Former Employee) - Nottingham, Nottinghamshire - 9 July 2023
Hit and miss like every agency these days, don't always get the shifts you want but it's great when you do. Average agency, easy to contact them at least.

Southampton branch nurse position
Nurse (Former Employee) - Southampton - 26 June 2023
I recieved a job offer from nurse plus promising me full time work, I didn’t even get part time work. As this was my only job after moving to Southampton I eventually had to ask them for carer shifts as I was desperate for money. They are so disorganised, I phoned the branch regularly for shifts and they would be full of empty promises. Don’t waste your time
Cons
Disorganised. No shifts. Poor communication
