Good agency and helpful

Indeed featured review

The most useful review selected by Indeed
i have been with Nurseplus in Newcastle for 6 months. There have been alot of different people in the branch but everyone i have dealt with have been really nice and helpful.Good hourly rate and clear communication, as long as you give your days you can work when shifts come in they call you. Like all agency it has quieter times but im very happy with the company.

They don’t care

They keep employing staffs without providing shifts for the staffs they already have. Ever since they changed management they really don’t care about their staffs. No shifts available for over a month but they keep recruiting

Cons

No available shifts

Great managment unpaid training

Management was easy to work with and very welcoming. We could choose our shifts in advance. The best part of the job is that it's entry level, the worst is no pay for training.

Not good….

Constant pressure to make money over the care. Unrealistic goals. Ruthless higher management. Poor salary structure. No positive encouragement. Arrogant

Great Management

Working for Nurseplus is great because the training provided is good and there are a variety of different shifts available. However, there are a lack of shifts available so there are some weeks where you wont be working.

Great agency! The team in the branch are the best!

Great agency, brilliant wage, pay well over mimimum wage. All three girls in the office are really nice. As long as you are flexible to work around what the services ask for they have plenty of work for you.Long shifts but they work well for me!

Pros

Pay, good homes, great management

Excellent management

Perhaps the best agency to work with in hull but lack of shift for part time workers, km hoping every staff can be given a rota rather than just phone calls to cover a shift somewhere

Awful Management

Staff especially Management had no time of day to support you in the role. Extremely unprofessional and unsupportive!! No proper induction when starting.

Pros

No pros!

Cons

Unprofessional Staff

Great for starting back from maternity

Nurse plus Chichester have been great with me. I needed a job to suit having a new baby so took on night shifts as and when they came in and I was available. Really polite and helpful office team and training. Thanks everyone :)

Very useless place to work!

Nurseplus UK, Southampton branch is the most useless thing that’d ever happen to you. Don’t work there! They would not give you reference and they’d make you lose better job offers!Very stupid and useless people! They would not give you your training certificate too!

Pros

Rubbish people

Cons

Overall useless people!

Have to wait to be called in

You have to wait to be called out for work… You don’t have a router each week…. I’ve been working for 3 weeks just trying to figure out how much work it takes but most of the time I have to work over the weekend…..

Emotionally tough but rewarding

I love working as a carer but hate being taken advantage of for my caring nature. Poor pay and conditions make this a difficult industry to stay in. Support from office staff fluctuates, depending on the issues or client

Unreasonable

Lack of support, communication is poor and doesn't cover much travel cost. Last min changes to your job . Not very good with their employees. Wouldn't recommend

Bullied by manager

I enjoyed working for Nurse plus but was unfairly treated by the manager who would never offer support and went behind my back to higher management saying I wasn’t pulling my weight!! I wasn’t the only one treated like this. I got away at the first opportunity!! If I had stayed any longer, I feel I would have started to suffer mentally!!

Pros

None

Cons

Everything

Decent enough agency

For a 0 contracted hour contract it’s not too bad and the pay is decent enough. Unfortunately it’s because it’s not guaranteed hours you can be out of work for a while which is way this is only best to make some extra money on the side.

Office staff are very friendly and deal with any problems u might have, emails sent out daily with Available shifts but it’s first come first served zero hours contact

Pros

Money is good

Good place to work

Lots of variety on offer, would love to see mileage paid, good people in the branch. Took a long time for my application to be processed and for my first shift
