Okay place to work

Great to earn money as student as you can book your own shifts but the place you work at some permanent staff may look down on you and be bossy with you

Pros

Flexible

Cons

No shifts at certain times of the year

Nurseplus can be a fun work place as the hours are flexible

I enjoyed working at Nurseplus. The hours are flexible and good pay, I would recommend anyone to join Nurseplus. The staffs are friendly and helpful. I did my first shift on Saturday, at first I was a bit nervous but everyone was friendly and helpful. I gave Nurseplus 100%

Great to work for

Given plenty of hours and regular shifts with service users so opportunities to get to know them properly. The office staff were lovely when I worked there

Great managment unpaid training

Management was easy to work with and very welcoming. We could choose our shifts in advance. The best part of the job is that it's entry level, the worst is no pay for training.

Bad

Worked with nurseplus about year and a half first year was great with the girls in the office got loads of work nice people unfortunately they left staff from newcastle had to deal with office staff from hull unfortunately you would email are ring them for shifts they would never pick up are email you back ( radio silence) I got through once and asked what was going on with lack of shifts basically to be told it is what it is bad attitude in my opinion keep well clear they've stopped holiday pay I no at least 10 people who haven't had 1 shift in 2 weeks and alot of clients who used to deal with nurseplus have went elsewhere different companies but if yous want to sign up go ahead 🤔

Pros

No

Cons

New office staff (hull) don't care

Unreasonable

Lack of support, communication is poor and doesn't cover much travel cost. Last min changes to your job . Not very good with their employees. Wouldn't recommend

Pros

Decent enough agency

For a 0 contracted hour contract it’s not too bad and the pay is decent enough. Unfortunately it’s because it’s not guaranteed hours you can be out of work for a while which is way this is only best to make some extra money on the side.

Flexible and good pay

Nurse plus is a good company to work for. Good pay and really like the flexibility of shifts to suit my family and lifestyle. Constant influx of shifts and always shifts available

Not good

Very stressful environment, management very rude. Shift weee cancel last minute without any payment. Turn on the shift and send back as already has been cover.

Not enough work

Furst of all I wasn't getting many shifts at all. Once I was six weeks without a shift. Therefore there is nothing else to worry about. There was no problems with the salary.

Pros

Training was good

Cons

Not enough work

Awful Culture

Cut throat and unprofessional office staff discuss clients in derogatory fashion, haphazard booking of shifts no direction, once in a place told to find shifts yourself archaic timesheet process, such an unfriendly company to work for 👎

Cons

Ridiculous management

Old fashion management with black lists pushing always just on they’re own interest, unfriendly office staff.Well if’s you’re new in healthcare probably your not having expectations but they will always have and unfortunately totally unrealistic.Move on for a permanently position with more than 0 hours contract.

Fun place depending on where u work

Can be a fun places some services are a hit or miss but I’m enjoying my time working here. Once you find a place you like I would recommend you stay there instead of carrying on working with nurse plus

Office staff do not care about staff wellbeing.

Working for NursePlus had it's ups and downs. The office staff act like your best friend when you agree to shifts but if you cannot do a shift even though you had said no already they would ask again even after a no. If you had to cancel on a shift due to to health issues which we are all human it happens (and they are aware of the health issue) then they way they dealt with it was sometimes not professional at all with no empathy whatsoever. Just be prepared to provide proof of going to HOSPITAL if you ever need to cancel on a shift too and for them to not even ask if you are ok :) You are clearly just a number to this agency. The agency works well for students for flexibility and weekly pay.

Pros

Flexibility, meeting new people and service users

Cons

Office staff, not caring about their own staffs wellbeing.

Good management

I enjoy working at nurseplus because I work the shifts that are suitable to me and there is no pressure to work when I do not want to. Any problems that I may have are quickly sorted. The pay is quite good.

Do not bother

the worst agency ! The most disgusting unkind office team!! So rude on phone and in office, considering it’s a care setting they do not care about you. They are like school children in the office, HORRIBLE. Anxiety was through the roof having to speak to them. Shifts will get cancelled and they won’t help you find another shift. If you fall unwell YOUR BOOKED SHIFFS WILL GET CANCELLED! They do not care about u, you are just a number to them. I had some issues which I thought I could confide in management / office and made to feel like a burden and stupid for even TALKING TO THEM.ALWAYS UNDERPAY YOU, always chasing pay. Join Ocean Health Care if you want a decent company to work for!!! I will forever slate Nurseplus for being the WORST!!!!!!!! If you work on the floor Nurseplus is HATED, the training is HORRENDOUS and I’m not surprised agencies have a bad name!!!!

Could be better

The homes/ services you get sent to are ok but you may aswell work for somewhere with an app. You get email after email offering you a list of shifts and dates, when you reply there’s either no response until the shift has gone or it gets booked and cancelled or not booked at all. No one talks to the staff anymore but at least if it was an app you would get some shifts. The branch you just get emails and then no response or a message saying there’s been a mistake or the home has booked you and cancelled you but when you mention it to the home they say they never booked you in the beginning. Lots of confusion means getting confirmations for shifts you know you’ve been cancelled for so lots of mix ups. I rang for 6 days last week to speak to the manager and they just said he was out so think the girls are just overworked but it’s hard for staff to keep motivated lately. Could be better but it’s ok.

Pros

Homes ok.

Cons

Staff not always approachable or there. Other agency’s nicer
