Lovely clients, management and some staff not so much
Health Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Devon - 30 November 2022
Management can be hard to approach. Long hours with little appreciation or route to progression. Online system isn't great, communication from office staff below par.
Pros
Lovely clients
Cons
Everything else

Ridiculous management
HCA/Support Worker (Former Employee) - Exeter, Devon - 23 November 2022
Old fashion management with black lists pushing always just on they’re own interest, unfriendly office staff. Well if’s you’re new in healthcare probably your not having expectations but they will always have and unfortunately totally unrealistic. Move on for a permanently position with more than 0 hours contract.

Lots of training if you want Different places to work or can work at same places. Any place you don't feel comfortable you can request not to return without any problems

Rude office staff
Recruitment Consultant (Former Employee) - Ashford, Kent - 2 November 2022
Office staff are rude, manager has no leadership skills, was good at booking shifts. They talk about care staff behind their backs, will cherry pick carers to work and decide if they like them or not…. I worked in the office, I was disgusted about the child like behaviour. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have the mentality of being at school still.

Nurseplus is by far the best agency I have worked for (I’m a HCA/support worker)
Health Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Preston, Lancashire - 24 October 2022
Their recruitment process is easy and they aren’t fussy if you wear formal clothes or not when you go to the office (they give you a uniform for work, ID badge, timesheets etc, I think you can do most of the sign up over the phone (I’ve always popped in the office anyway) they will call you and send and application form, you have to either get a new dbs (cost me £6 last time) or use the one you have on update service. Their training is very thorough, I’ve done the online training and the group training (differs I think from different branches and different courses) but all very in depth. the office staff are helpful and polite.. on call is always there at anytime to support you (I’ve called them at 11pm once before when lone working and needed to clarify a procedure and they were great).. the pay rates differ between days/nights/bank holidays and are very generous.. as they are all around the country I have been able to switch branches easy when I moved house.. I’ve worked for Preston, Woking and Harlow.. all very nice people.. easy going and keen to get you good shifts.. they have all had a good collection of clients you can pick and choose from.. they don’t hassle you if you don’t want to work or don’t want to go to a particular place.. I’ve just rejoined the Preston team, the office staff are new since I went to London for few years but they have been just as nice to me an my partner as the previous office team.. you get weekly pay, holiday pay. You get commission if you refer new staff or new clients. I generally have enjoyed working for the 3 branches I’ve been with :)
Pros
Competitive pay rates, weekly pay, supportive team, repeat bookings, 100% flexible shifts, great training, work life balance, holiday pay
Cons
None

Jobs at Nurseplus
Always asking me to refer people to them but then they never have shifts for me
Agency Nurse (RMN) (Current Employee) - Wolverhampton - 2 October 2022
A strange culture within the team. No preplanned shifts only ever last minute, like the day before, offered. Not one of the most stable agencies as impossible to predict income

Fun place depending on where u work
Support Worker (Current Employee) - Bristol - 28 September 2022
Can be a fun places some services are a hit or miss but I’m enjoying my time working here. Once you find a place you like I would recommend you stay there instead of carrying on working with nurse plus

Great place
Health Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 20 September 2022
I like to work at Nurse plus and find them very nice and helpful. I go lots of different homes and some are not so nice at days but the office team are very nice and like our feedback. I like nurse plus and tell all my friends to work with them as they are very good company and give me lots of work around my school work at the university.

Good agency and fantastic office team
Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire - 19 September 2022
Ive worked with Nurse plus for a year so far and really enjoy it. I had no care experience but they gave me a chance and I now cannot see me working in any other profession. The office team and manager are the best, really friendly and helpful. Always calling me when they have shifts on my available days and always reminding me when I forget to send my timesheet oops. Would recommend to work here as they are simply the best!
Pros
Great management, supportive, hardworking and actively trying to find you shifts

Feedback
Recruitment Consultant (Former Employee) - Liverpool - 13 September 2022
The company is okay to work for definitely needs improving on a few things. Higher management for one. The staff in the office are great and lovely to work with. Overall think the company just care about making money and don't really care that much about the staff and how much pressure there under.

I’ve worked for Nurseplus over a year now. Everyone in the office is very friendly. I would definitely recommend working for Nurseplus.

Office staff do not care about staff wellbeing.
Support Worker (Former Employee) - Colchester, Essex - 30 August 2022
Working for NursePlus had it's ups and downs. The office staff act like your best friend when you agree to shifts but if you cannot do a shift even though you had said no already they would ask again even after a no. If you had to cancel on a shift due to to health issues which we are all human it happens (and they are aware of the health issue) then they way they dealt with it was sometimes not professional at all with no empathy whatsoever. Just be prepared to provide proof of going to HOSPITAL if you ever need to cancel on a shift too and for them to not even ask if you are ok :) You are clearly just a number to this agency. The agency works well for students for flexibility and weekly pay.
Pros
Flexibility, meeting new people and service users
Cons
Office staff, not caring about their own staffs wellbeing.

Rewarding and great office staff
Health Care Assistant (Current Employee) - Salisbury, Wiltshire - 18 August 2022
I have worked for nurse plus in salisbury for nearly two years. The officestaff are lovely, honest, helpful and very professional. They do try to match the right job to the right person. The training I received was through and interesting . They do not pressurise you , but are supportive at the sa me time. Basically it's up to you to take your ambitions and make them your drive. I enjoy my job and find it fulfilling. In my experience the winter has less availability than the summer months . I would recommend nurseplus to anyone . .
