You have to do 1 drop each 15 minutes sometimes that’s not possible and you’ll be always lat and hurrying.They say there's no need to rush but you have time on the app to make deliveries and if you're late the customer gets angry.

Gone seriously downhill post-pandemic

Been here more than 5 years and really noticed a change in the place these past six months. Almost all long serving drivers have left, staff retention is awful. Routes are poorly planned so you will run late. Boxes poorly packed so you'll be dealing with spillages, repacking, angry customers etc. Vans in poor condition and filthy. Equipment is awful so you'll find yourself turning down bridleways, or up dead end roads often. All overtime rates were slashed this year to slightly bump basic pay. Now text messages offering overtime are daily occurrences. If you work 10 hour turnaround shifts, you will do literally twice the physical labour that an 8 hours driver does for only £20 more. Though they will try to sell the extra day off (that you need to recover) as a great bonus.However, discounts and benefits are fair, and your rota is set.

Discounted vending machines. Benefits. Work life balance.
Cons
Disgusting vans. Always running late. Turnarounds. Poor packing.

Retail hours and pay

I got the job van driving during lockdown. Brought money in as I couldn't work my other job. It's job and knock, which is great, however your rota can include any 5 days of the week. So if you don't normally plan to do stuff on the weekend, you'll be ok. Work life balance isnt the best.
