Off to Work
Off to Work Employee Review
Decent agency
Off to Work is a decent agency to work at. The initial training isn't too much and the managers are quite welcoming, but eventually the work experience depends on the venue/event that you sign up for. Some venues have great managers whilst others might give you quite a bad experience, but since you get work through the agency you can quit any place at any time, so in the end it's not too bad. Cancellations are also reasonably flexible and managers are usually reachable by phone. Most prevalent issue for me is just the time that shifts are assigned - most of the time they give you shifts the day before, and you won't be informed if you didn't get one, so it's sometimes annoying to end up having no work on a day that you've expected to work on. Managers can be grumpy and not very friendly at times but it's understandable given the pressure on them, in the end they get their jobs done and I truly appreciate that. Payouts are also timely and working hours are logged accurately. Overall, this job is good if you need some extra income and if your schedule is flexible. Even if you prefer working by a set rota, if you manage to find a location that is in constant need for staff members, there's a also a chance that you get signed up to that particular place as a sort of "star employee" and you kind of become a part of that team whilst retaining the flexibility of an agency worker, so in the end its just a well-managed place for people to sign up for work.

Great way and flexible, no term contract. Can visit new venues for each shift and even 5 star hotels and the people and managers are really good too. Only negative point is lot of travelling for some shifts.

Waiter (Current Employee) - Birmingham City Centre, West Midlands - 4 August 2023
I remember working for this company whilst attending University. They had nice pay, flexible hours and opportunities to work a prestige events such as the VIP suites at the British Formula 1 races.

Job insecurity and poor management
Waitress (Former Employee) - Birmingham, West Midlands - 1 June 2023
There is a feeling of job insecurity as the shifts are scarce and given to friends of the management (favouritism of mainly white colleagues). The management is unprofessional and very rude and have created a toxic work environment.
