Office Angels in Taunton were most helpful and very proactive in finding me work, more so than other agencies. I find them to be very professional and approachable.

Not all that it seemed

Temp Worker (Former Employee) - North West - 12 October 2023

I had high hopes for this agency considering that they boast about all the big clients that they work with. However I was mislead what I thought was an acceptable role which was a long term temp role in a good location. Sadly the client I went to was stuck back in time with archaic systems and old school procedures, no atmosphere at all. Then the measly 30 min lunch for working an 8-5 day was not enough. I Left the same day I started but was honest to both client and agency that this was not a good fit. They then try and push me into an invigilator role which I have no interest in whatsoever and does not align with my experience. I feel its another agency false advertise roles and then try to send you to the jobs nobody else wants.

Poor management and overworked staff

Manager has no previous skills in role and this shows, has favoritism towards staff and singles out others, often working over hours with no thanks or flexibility when over hours for the week. Staff unsure of roles as no prior experience and office has no sense of direction, promise of flexible working which your then not allowed Let go with no notice or compassion

Accepted 35 hours a week contract. Manager advised I could get 40 plus. Was told on interview job is Monday to Friday, office hours. After starting, discovered I would finish some days after 4 hours. Given option to do overtime cleaning offices at night. This was not what we discussed at interview. I found myself doing split shifts many times. Constant WhatsApp messages and having to shower twice a day after work, left little time for myself. Poor work life balance. Poor quality of life with wage. Client would pay £20 per hour. I would get ten. Told to use clients blue badge. I wasn't comfortable with this.

Office angels as a company was able to find a job that was perfectly suited to my skills and characteristics and I was able to get employed full time from the company directly! I can’t thank office angels enough for how much they have done for me and I would highly recommend anyone that’s looking for an office based job to reach out to them!

Never have work available and have to chase them for work / information. Very hard to find good office work recruitment agencies but nevertheless they should have more work available or advertise less for agency staff

Management were good, staff friendly, no work stress, managers helpful, free tea , although 12 hours shift we used to do overtime on top of that cause it was not tiring work.

Office Angels m’a donné mon premier pas vers l’engagement et la vision que j’ai développé et approprié tout au long des différentes missions. A cet effet, j’ai ensuite créé mon entreprise. Office Angels, à cette époque, avait une place d’avant-garde dans la façon d’opérer leur business. C’était fantastique et très exaltant de rencontrer des chefs d’entreprise divers et de pouvoir se nourrir de cette transmission du savoir-faire.J’ai travaillé principalement au centre de Londres avec des compagnies en pleine extension. Le sens des activités au sein de la capitale était très dynamique et l’on faisait parti de ces instants si magiques. Je les ai tous vécu et absorbé ; une vie pleine et vive.Enfin, le bonheur d’avoir participer à apprendre à travers ces environnements divers et florissant.Mon agence était basée en Essex. Un endroit magique, entouré de famille d’entrepreneurs bien fondé. L’ambiance était encore différente de la capitale, ici c’était comme vivre en weekend nous étions les ‘Essex Girls’. L’admiration pour la beauté et le bien-être. Si l’on rajoute ceci avec l’étiquette du travail ça ne peut être que la réussite. Oui, j’ai adoré ces moments que je ‘cherish’ jusqu’à ce jour

Not brilliant, would not work for them again

The staff are not very good at keeping one properly informed and up to date with assignments, they give incorrect dates/days and times. During the pandemic (Covid) I was not contacted for almost 8 months, whether to check on me or to update me on what was happening with the company I had been working for, nor did they offer to furlough me, even though I had been on an ongoing contract through them, with a company for the last 7 years, where I was loyal and always readily available on a drop of a hat no matter how short the notice was.

Supportive Work Environment

I have had a very positive experience working at Office Angels - both the Leeds and Manchester branches. Its a very positive environment where your good work is appreciated. As a temporary worker, the only downside is that work is not guaranteed but when they are available, the team work to make sure you get something.

Great Collegues but awful Branch Manager

my collegues were the only thing that kept me going, the branch manager treated all employees different, unfair treatment. She was not an example as her morals were questionable. Wouldnt work at the cambridge branch as a consultant. High turnover!
