HGV Class 2 Driver in Southampton

Better jobs out there
Salary looks good on paper but expect to work for it, 50 to 60 hour a week! Bonus is never paid in full, trucks are ok, be prepared to get dirty, especially with waste oil that you collect, big routes, food waste, not bad, smells bad in summer months, no progression, management couldn't even run a bath, no support, work all Bank Holidays, part of your working week, heavy work.

Avoid at all costs
I started at Olleco in February and found fellow colleagues very helpful and nice people. The management was painting a negative picture of the job straight away from the interview saying the job was very hard and not many stuck at the job which I saw as challenge to prove them wrong! I like other was placed on furlough in April then in July the company decided to make redundancies which was fine and I understood why but what has confused me and infuriated me is that less that 7 days after being made redundant they are advertising my job! The manager at Newton Abbot is very patronising and will always doubt your ability! Pay is not great you can get better elsewhere the work is hard on your body and worth it for the money your paid

50/60 hour week ignore what it says about 48hour week
Basically the money is good but you have to work none stop off for it you will work 50/60 hour week with no overtime pay the work load is just too much to complete properly without cutting corners like dodgy tacho breaks and no heath and safety I would say if you need a job for a stop gap then this is for you it’s not a long term job. They ask too much from there drivers and it’s a toxic atmosphere and management are ruthless always the drivers fault and you get no support.
