IntenseOmbudsman Services places a great deal of pressure on its workforce to meet targets with quality reports. The targets set are not achievable if quality is paramount unless the operative puts in unpaid time. The management are not in touch with the work force.

Not niceThey bring in managers from banks and mobile phone companies giving them if big bonuses, they with no complaints background and worked for companies who created the mis selling banks and mobile customer issues. These then get rid of the people answering the phone calls. You can pick and choose from the intray for quick hits and no difficulty if your face fits. Really unpleasant atmosphere for those people who had to take the calls with lots of lets play games to make out it was all fun and games.

Great place to workI have worked in many companies over the years, and Ombudsman Services is, bar far, my favourite one. There's some really great people policies and work culture and the business really people very well. The benefits are really good - for example, holiday balance is 26 days + bank holidays (and this increases with length of service too!). they are really good with out of work commitments and are happy to be flexible with you if they can.Really recommend working here.

If Your Face Fits, Favouritism, Unprofessionalism & StressfulThis workplace is filled with stress, if your pally with the right people, you will be cushy and offline all the time. If your not, you will always be in a repetitive cycle of stress, watching others do nothing. Managers, openly discuss other team members personal issues with your team. You will take call after call and resent others, because of the poor management. Overall you hate going to work, It is not an enjoyable role and you will burn out quickly. There is no progression and you will be jumping through hoops. Once out of training you are basically a worker bee. Ok pay but you will never make it as you will look for something different as not enjoyable or feasible to stay within the role. You will leave with a sigh of relief.

StressfulThe job itself is not too bad and training itself is amazing. However the moment you start the actual job the bubble bursts. If your face does not fit, do not even think of progressing never mind staying there for longer. Everyone there is disposable so if you do work there make friends with someone in position to keep your job or build a career. Other wise you are trash.
