Oracle
Enterprise Sales Manager (Former Employee) - Field Based - 29 June 2020
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedIt can be a tough environment, but to the pros outweighed the cons for me.
Nothing else to add other than the need to fight for your compensation on a regular basis as the comp team made quite a few mistakes in my experience

Great company to work for
Commercial Manager (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 10 August 2020
Worked at Oracle for just under 6 years and they were the best years of my career! A company constantly improving its processes. A company where the word diversity is not just a corporate buzz word. Learnt many things and worked with the best in the industry.
Pros
Everyone wants to help, no hot potato culture

Go in with eyes open
Architect (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 16 June 2020
The company treats employees very, very well and it's possible to settle down, do what your boss says and have a good life.
If you prefer to engage with a team, understand customer requirements and generally be part of anything remotely Agile, then look elsewhere. Or at least be very, very careful to find out what your manager's style is before accepting an offer.
Pros
Pay, work-life balance, canteens, training
Cons
X style management, shifting priorities

You have to put the hard work in to be successful which isn't a bad thing

Productive and excellent workplace
Director, Cloud Customer Success UK & Israel (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 8 June 2020
I worked for Oracle over 7 years and was able to establish and grow an excellent career. I worked in 2 individual roles and then moved to managing teams leaving the business as a director. You make your own career and the opportunities are there.

Don't expect a pay rise
Solutions Consultant (Current Employee) - London, Greater London - 29 April 2020
Bargain hard at the start. you won't get another pay rise unless you get a promotion. Managers are just administrators - dont expect support from them unless it suits them to do so.

Autonomous working
Account Director (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 16 April 2020
Great products, poor strategy, management is ok. Excellent work life balance, strong package, excellent training. If you are a self starter and like working on your own this is perfect

Boring and lack of growth potential
Project Director, Professional Services (Former Employee) - London, Greater London - 26 January 2020
The workplace culture is fairly relaxed and flexible. Work from home supported. Ample opportunity to learn.
Diverse set of clients and technologies. Poor in terms of opportunity to grow.

Software Giant - Generally good
Core Technology Sales (Former Employee) - Reading, Berkshire - 2 December 2019
Lots of support, good technical knowledge and training. Lots of opportunities for growth, but one has to seek them out, all via self serve (even your long service awards) Big brand, however there is some animosity with the customer base in some instances.
Very process orientated. Approval process can be a test of character.
Overall a good place to be,

Fantastic place to work. All clients were brilliant, kind and knowledgeable about the product which ensured training and service were received quickly and with the upmost professionalism.
Constant support was available for all jobs and anything was brought to solution quickly and efficiently.
It is a great place to work and strive to improve.
The only issue is being away from home constantly 5 days a week.
