I really feel this place is getting better - new management have made a massive difference to the place Good pay also and really enjoyed working here
Having worked here a short while under 2 lots of management i can safely say i wouldnt work here again. The children are not the main concern. The staff are truly wonderful and deserve better. Every member of staff i worked with the past few months were amazing. Child focused. Do no work here if you dont want to be broken hearted that money comes before the best interests of the children.
I came into this job with a really positive impression of the company and the staff but everything has gone downhill since I started that I had to leave for my own mental health. The kids were amazing but it felt like they were completely forgotten about and any suggestions from staff or other people in the team were not listened to by management at all. Management were so quick to blame people for their own mistakes or because they didn't listen to the other teams or the staff who actually worked directly with the kids. At the end it was such a toxic culture for everyone and the kids definitely picked up on that. There was some hope when new management took over at the start of this year but it very quickly became clear that the same issues were going to continue and that they had their own agenda so still didn't listen to the staff about the kids, their needs or what support we might need to care for them in the best way. The school team was the only team who put the kids first and it showed because they all loved going to school. The pay was OK but just not worth it for the little appreciation I felt working here.
The company has recently undergone new management structure which has negatively effected morale, and had some negative effects on the young people also. Wouldn’t recommend.
I loved working here when I first started as management support was great but only if you a new. After my probation management stopped caring about me completely. I found out one of the current management team put a complaint in against me during my probation for "not being a team player" as I questioned why I had 5 jobs to do on the evening job list and everyone else had 1 and some with none. So I didn't think it was fair. Management do not care about staff at all they just see them as a number on the rota so they have "efficient number" of staff however most days you need around 15 support staff to have the correct amount of numbers to support the YPs but management would run on 10/11 and say it was good enough and would hardly ever stay to help. While on a risk assessment I was told not to be in an incident due to having a broken wrist and when doing a night shift with 3 people a YP had an incident and as myself and another staff were on a risk assessment to not be in an incident we called our management support for the night only to be told "No I'm not coming in" so further damage was caused to my injury but management didn't care. They then asked me to not be in work due to my injury after working for 3 weeks with the injury. The teams however are great for the most part but there is some people to look our for as they will throw you under the bus to save themselves. I was able to work my way from support worker to deputy duty manager which was great but then I realised quickly it was a mistake. Management don't communicate with you at all and then blame you for something someone on your team has done yet you were never told they could no longer do that as management would never pass that information along. The YPs however are great to work with and most of the staff are amazing. The food is good and cheap for the size of the portion. Most of the issues at our place are from management team and that they almost never communicate with staff. There has recently been a change of management where new management were brought in alongside old management and it hasn't improved either. I would never recommend working here unless you want to have depression as this is all I took from working here.

Standard. Not interested what experience you have, as they have a major staff retention issue. Staff leave very quickly. High level of staff turn over. Staff not supported by management. Management have their own agenda.
