Senior Residential Support Worker in Truro, Cornwall
on 19 March 2021
Challenging and busy workplace
A child-centred local approach occasionally at odds with a profit-driven wannabe child-centred head office with complex management structure driving home outcomes. Expects a lot from employees earning relatively low pay and fairly mundane benefits. Tries hard, but could do better.

Do not care about their staff at all
This company could not care less about their staff. The management are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever worked with. The job would be absolutely lovely if the staff were supported but they are not.

Rewarding / Challenging / Innovative
My experience working at Outcomes First Group has been nothing but positive. I continue to enjoy my career with such an innovative organisation. The welsh adult services are exceptional and provide first class, person centred residential care for adults with autism and learning disabilities. As a manager, I am provided with the tools I need to ensure that my service continues to support the people we look after to achieve positive outcomes and the high quality of life they deserve.I have always been treated with respect throughout my roles by management and team members. The company are always looking to expand and this provides absolute job security and a career pathway attractive to those who are career driven and want to do well in a industry sector that cares for others.

For people with no ties
Let me first say there is nothing more rewarding than seeing happy kids. As a company they try to accomplish this and because of the extreme hard work of the support workers they do. Management is not helpful they sit there in their ivory tower sipping on cups of tea and eating food prepared by the kids and support workers but are they there in times of need....... No could not trust them to run a bath!
