Interesting…
Other colleagues were lovely, customers were horrendous right until the end. Head office were a disgrace I don’t think any of them had ever stepped foot in a shop before with what they expected us to do.
Sales Assistant in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol

management and training poor
overall the job itself was fun, i enjoyed it performing a range of tasks from organising the stock room and working on delivery shifts and organising the shop floor etc etc. people i worked with were nice but managers were hostile at times. sufficient training not given and left on my own on the floor on a busy day on my second shift

Best job ever
I miss Paperchase so much, it was the best job I had ever had. Pay was above minimum wage even as a sales assistant. The environment was relaxed, never stressful and staff were so friendly always made you feel welcome and if you needed help they would always support you.
Sales Assistant in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire

Good
Except hours messed up weekly, never knowing when we was due in - nice team nice location but once again difficult to blend in as management too consumed by sales not quality service
Sales Assistant in Leeds, West Yorkshire

Good people, very unorganised
My colleagues were lovely and the job is simple enough. But hours I worked were all over the place with no warning. Often was put on the rota for days I had agreed with management I couldn’t work. Had to have the discussion many times.
