Work-life balance

Production Operative in Redruth, Cornwall
on 29 March 2020
Not bad but not fantastic
Good points - Not a physically demanding job. Good safe workplace. Free fruit provided Staff friendly and helpful Bad points - Human error at times harshly punished by disciplinary and even dismissal. Staff belittled for mistakes in front of other staff members due to poor management skills.

Don’t do it to yourself going to paragon
High turn out of people every week, management are rude and have no respect for anyone treat everyone like rubbish no people skills, they will train you on machines but money stays the same, best to stay away
Warehouse Operative in Sunderland

Company do not appreciate staff. Very disrespectful. Treat like a second hand citizen. Don't join. You are expected to know job straight away. Very poor training
Engineering in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear

Employee ineraction and communication from morning via meeting or TV screens a great way of telling everyone about the organisation and what's happening in the group
Data Entry in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear and jarrow
on 7 January 2021
Avoid at all costs
Applied for a data entry job in jarrow, was untrue. First week we were sat training for 4 days then all of sudden got told we have to go to the factory in Sunderland and put SIM cards together and put things in boxes which wasn’t on our contract. Got messed about and sat home early and said we owe hours due to the ‘banked hours’ scheme. Started at the start of November but didn’t get paid until end of December which took a toll on my mental health. On the 4th week of ‘training’ I got let go by the company as there wasn’t any work as they had lost a contract and were given no notice. Management poor, ask them a question and they say they’ll get back to you. Awful.
