Slow paced
Worked here as a temp over Christmas, was an okay place of work but I felt the training wasn’t great and just kind of left to your own devices (which I felt wasn’t great for me as I was new just starting off in retail)

Fun place to work
They push you to progress, staff and management always willing to help. Pay could be better, especially for management. Good staff discount along with uniform allowance

Not much support from higher management
My shop was good to work in, it made profit, clean and tidy, well managed, everyone helped each other out. Company wasn't so good. Pay wasn't great. Overtime every week but Holidays were paid at basic hours instead of average hours worked. Company went into administration alot of head office staff were gone. There was rarely anyone to contact with regards to problems. After covid we kind of got left to it then one Friday during a big delivery a phone call came to say we were closing that day and be out by Tuesday, that was the end of that.

Manager needs to learn some management skills, shouting at staff infront off customers.Always put on overtime with out anyone asking me, rotas was short notice. Really only work there if desperate!

Enjoyed my time thoroughly - felt like one big family.
I loved my time at Peacocks. I felt like a tight-knit family and we all had eachother's backs. Management would usually take your side. There was always opportunity for advancement and further training if you put in the work. It was always laid back and fun.
