Local management ok, colleagues good, problems at higher management.
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Carlisle, Cumbria - 15 May 2023
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedLocal management very straightforward, "on the same level" kind of an approche. Could talk with the lads in charge of the depot about anything. You could find understanding and solution to your problems. Lads in the yard relaxed and chatty, sign of a good management. Bosses in the higher up management team, absolutely disastrous. They only approach you when you have to give money to the company, otherwise you are totally ignored. Even if you have good ideas!

Pay and expenses not as promised
Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Inverness - 15 August 2023
This job is crazy. The expectation and culture there to push hard to achieve the targets of Amazon are ridiculous. The pay is lower than I was shown before starting. On their own website it says that you do not buy fuel for business. The mileage doesn’t match the fuel you buy to deliver the parcels. You’re advised to take breaks but have to urinate into a container. If you smash your route you’ll get a whole lot more to deliver. Worst job ever, nearly. I have done worse. Plan quitting in 2 more weeks
Pros
None
Cons
Pay, fuel, breaks

Insights into Pegasus Couriers
Areas for improvement
- Time and location flexibility
- Sense of belonging
- Support from manager
Unsupportive, intimidating place to work
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Inverness, Highland - 11 June 2023
This is for Amazon DSP. The managers in the yard are completely unsupportive. Approach them for help and you won’t receive any support whatsoever. They have their favourite drivers whom they give the easy routes to everyday and are happy to intimidate by threatening you with no work if you don’t do as they say. I know several drivers are joining Leighday as a result.
Pros
None
Cons
Unsupportive managers.

Good team shame it's for Amazon
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Inverness, Highland - 17 April 2023
Pegasus has a great management team but we deliver for Amazon which lets it down. Routes are ridiculous, not paid enough, no career progression. Also made to be self employed so they get out of any liability

no breaks
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Gateshead, Tyne and Wear - 8 February 2023
one drop every three minutes, no time for breaks, no time for toilet. seems like a decent wage untill you take off your costs and divide by the hours your out the house.. ends up being less than minimum wage

Zero progression/prospects.
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) - Gateshead - 1 February 2023
Underpaid, under valued, constantly lied to. As a company very unorganised, frequent issues with pay, often pay is incorrect. Supposed savings benefits from a fuel card with certain garage we’re never reflected in our pay as promised leaving drivers out of pocket as much as they were before.
Cons
Long hours, poor pay, lied to frequently.

Self Employed
Courier Driver (Former Employee) - Gateshead, Tyne and Wear - 30 January 2023
Would of been a good job if employed but couldn’t always get enough days to make it worthwhile and not worth it after making van payments. People come and go on a weekly basis. Always expected to help other drivers when finished without extra payment for fuel or time.

Worst place I have ever worked !!!!!
Courier Driver / manager (Former Employee) - Glasgow, Glasgow - 16 January 2023
I had worked for this company for along time it was only recently when I got into management I seen how disrespectful they were to the drivers . As working in management for them it was long stressful hours and no one to turn to !!!!!! The senior management would need to take a long hard look at themselves because they are a disgrace!!!!
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Long hours and vans that should be taken off the road !!!!

The management was the worst thing I can say at all , there a No chance to let the company grow and better with such management unless they change them all

Jobs at Pegasus Couriers
Fast paced great people
Courier Van Driver (Former Employee) - Carlisle, Cumbria - 19 May 2022
I loved this job it was fast paced and stressful at times, management at carlisle were great I got along with them all, you are self employed and sometimes not enough runs. As you are renting the vans sometimes not enough runs was a big problem with money. But out on the road you are on your own and in the mornings in the depot having banter with the management and the drivers was great, overall a great place to work, if this wasn't a selfemployed position and guaranteed wage/hours I would never have left I'd go back no problem if it was employed.
Pros
Van to take home, good management, food van at depot.
Cons
Long hours, working away from my area, no guaranteed wage, self employed.

A great company to work for
Driver (Current Employee) - Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh - 1 January 2022
After reading the negative reviews on here I was a bit skeptical on joining. I decided to bite the bullet and go for it after being offered a job. I can now say that the majority of these horrendous reviews are absolutely not true. The management are great and very fair. Always at the end of the phone for any issues you may have through out the day. The work itself I found to be a doddle. Pick your parcels up in the morning at Amazon. Go do your route then go home. parcel numbers differ 200 is an average but can be up to 260 in the busy months. This sounds a lot but If you get the head down and get on with it. You’ll be finished before you know it. I normally got finished around 5/6 on a busy day or 3/4 on a quieter day. The city centre flats can be a pain in the ar*e and tiring on the legs. But again if you get on with it you’ll be grand. The parcels won’t deliver them selves. Van rental isn’t as bad as it sounds, 190 a week but with all the insurances you need with your own van, it’s not an awful lot more expensive. I done 4 on 2 off but often offered more shifts. The pay packet is always pretty decent. Route fuel is paid by Amazon. If your thinking of joining Pegasus and like myself a bit unsure after reading bad reviews, I can recommend it.
Pros
Good money Good management All the drivers work together and help each other out if needed.
Cons
Coffee cups in Amazon warehouse a bit small

Driver (Former Employee) - Livingston, West Lothian Perth - 21 December 2021
Need to look at there wage role. Respect the drivers as all the meetings I went to was all about you how much money you was making or the company which is nothing to do with drivers
Cons
Long hours

Fast paced, easiest hardest job going.
Driver (Current Employee) - Bathgate, Dundee, Eurocentral, Carlisle - 22 July 2021
1, 4 days work - yes 4 days, then 2 days off. Means days off change and get fair share of weekends off. 2, Van hire, insurance etc. Weekly fee distributed over 6 days, covering all required insurances, servicing, tyres etc. Like any other driving job, deductions for insurance excess are made, for driver fault accidents. Fuel you use getting to depot and back home are not covered, like any other job. 3, Work Rate and Experience - Can be days when things go wrong, like any other job. Start is actually from depot you are working from, stay 2 hrs away and adds 4 hrs to your day on top of 9 hr working day. We can all choose personally if we wish to do this so not companies fault no matter who the company is. Lots of parcels ( maybe up to 300+ some days)to deliver, drops (can be any amount from maybe just 4 to 225 - based on what have actually seen) to do. WOW, guess what, that is where the money is, and what you get paid for. 4, Need to supply own device- Brilliant, get what device you want, but bear in mind it WILL be dropped at some stage, it will get wet at some stage, and it will probably get covered in snow too at some stage, and it will use battery like you have never seen before. So get one with a good battery that you really can chuck in the bath or throw at a wall, but then you get paid for using it on top of your wages, so no cost issue. 5, Some days can be a hard to get hold of management NOW, but always get back to you ASAP. 6, Can be days it gets you down, but someone or something somewhere will put a smile back on your face. Workload may seem excessive, may seem like -
Pros
Always paid when said, may be lunchtime instead of 3am, who cares, still same day. Any discrepancies sorted out quickly, normally same day. Descent money if get on with job.
Cons
Can be long hours. Have to deal with congested streets in some cases. Have to keep own records, receipts for tax NI etc. Van hire can seem expensive, but cheaper than hiring one yourself. Better if just get own van, that way, have van if move on, and probably look after it better. Only paid fuel for doing your route, not other or personal mileage.

Not worth it!
Self-Employed Driver Associate (Former Employee) - Belfast, County Antrim - 11 April 2021
Poorly Managed Rough working conditions Very little time for lunch/toilet breaks Long working hours for not great pay Daily pay rate doesn't minus van rental fees (if applicable) Issues with wages Work not guaranteed No work/life balance - work, sleep, repeat 'Self-employed' but basically treated as employee Not worth the hassle

A great start but ended in a Shambles
Delivery Driver Multi Drop (Former Employee) - Carlisle, Cumbria - 5 April 2021
It is what it is. I delivered parcels on behalf of Amazon and from that point of view it couldn't be easier. The Amazon side of things worked brilliantly! My issue came with Pegasus Management. Induction and training was nothing like they promised. The managers at the depot did not treat the drivers well at all even those that were constantly jumping in and helping other drivers out. I was asked on numerous occasions to help other drivers out which I did however no further compensation was offered (yes I could have refused but I got on really well with all the other drivers and didn't want them to struggle). Van hire seems a bit extreme and the advertised benefits aren't what they seem. Every pay day saw issues with underpayments and over deductions. These issues would take up to a month to be sorted and invariably would only get sorted once the issues were escalated up. All in all I would do the job again but would find someone else to work for as Pegasus only seemed to care about the metrics and seemed to forget that they had people working for them and not robots!!
Pros
The other drivers
Cons
Management

Multi Drop Delivery Driver (Current Employee) - Belfast - 11 February 2021

Don’t do that mistake
Courier Van Driver (Former Employee) - Aberdeen - 23 January 2021
Everything begin good , but it happens for the last 3 weeks 70 people from the company haven’t earn anything, because they don’t provide work , but charge us for a van rental . Highly don’t recommend them , unless you are millionaire and have nothing to do . Can’t have enough money for living , won’t talk about taxes at all in this occasion, as I have over £4000 to pay and my weekly wages ( in the peak time ) were £300 ..
Pros
None
Cons
Long runs, plenty of packages, leas fuel paid, no bonuses

Great environment
Self employed courier (Former Employee) - DXG1 - 22 January 2021
As a whole it's great working at Pegasus, the crowd you work with are a great laugh and always up to help you out if you need it, the management is fair although a little difficult to contact at time or get a straight answer from other than that I would recommend working with these any day of the week
Pros
Easy work
Cons
Not guaranteed work
