Productive but very underwhelming
Buyer (Former Employee) - Blackpool, Lancashire - 25 March 2022
Indeed featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe place was good to work at with very good staff who are friendly and treat you well however certain people who work there need to have a good luck at themselves as they mistreat others and talk down to them Personally feel like specific people should be sacked and replaced by people more willing to be apart of a team and offer more help and support I would go back as a buyer IF certain staff members were gone otherwise stay away
Pros
Good pay
Cons
Colleagues, hours, socialising

Dangerous and unruly
Telehandler operator (Former Employee) - Stoke-on-Trent - 25 March 2022
At Persimmon homes there is a total lack of health and safety enforcement. I witnessed on a daily basis gangs of bricklayers without safety boots, hi visibility clothing of any kind and even no hard hat's while management witnessed but done nothing to rectify the problem. The attitude of the management was if you don't like it, get another job.
Pros
Reasonable pay
Cons
Excessive work load and unsafe working conditions

Employees mean nothing to management
Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Norwich, Norfolk - 2 March 2022
Management only care about their own advancement, there's no respect for staff at all. Good work goes unrecognised. Sales staff were making the company excellent profits, yet the company decided to cut their commission. Make the company money and they take away your own, doesn't make sense does it. The directors seem to think paying staff peanuts is reasonable, whilst they themselves rake in thousands of pounds of bonuses. Awful company to work for.

Depressing, unachievable targets, bullying culture
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) - South West - 23 January 2022
Worst of all developers, this company will chew you up and spit you out , no job satisfaction or pride. Will not give you any support and will expect you to achieve targets that are unrealistic and unavailable. You will end up working a minimum of 10 hous a day and most saturdays. The materials you will be given to build are cheep and the after build customer care is 24 7 and you spend several hours a day dealing with irate dissatisfied customers.

None
Cons
Stressful toxic working environment

Awful place to work
Admin/Customer Service Assistant (Former Employee) - Pontyclun - 11 December 2021
Absolute shambles of a company. Dreadful management and just a badly organised company overall. The work is not stimulating in any way shape or form and the work delegation from management is poor. As an employee you are unable to voice you're views as the ideas are shot down and not taken on board. This company gives you false promises and no job satisfaction or security what so ever. The bad reputation of this company is an honest insight into working here and is really embarrassing. Avoid at all costs.
Pros
Absolutely none
Cons
Bad management, boring work, not valued as an employee in any way

Planner (Former Employee) - Leeds, West Yorkshire - 26 October 2021
Avoid if possible. If you decide to work for this company keep yourself to yourself and do not rely or trust anyone in the office. Do not take anything on face value.

The company is a great place to work, I don't work on site I'm a loading shovel driver for brickworks in Harworth working 3 shifts so working nights is a challenge for me.

Bullying culture
Administrator (Former Employee) - York, North Yorkshire - 17 October 2021
I worked at York about 20. years ago and it was awful. I was a part time administrator and the girls in the office were horrible. Was glad when I left.

Bunch of cowboys
Customer Advisor (Former Employee) - Cornwall - 16 October 2021
If you want to be bullies every day then go for it no time to complete tasks if you are on a busy site. Take commission from you if you're slightly behind on your plot progress. Money grabbing from the top down
Cons
No time to breathe

Avoid at all costs
Customer Care Co-ordinator (Former Employee) - England - 30 September 2021
0 work/life balance, workload is astronomical with no support, and often added onto. Hard work & loyalty isn't rewarded. The company only cares about ££ with no care for its employee's or customers. I wouldn't reccommend buying a Persimmon house either.
Pros
Literally nothing
Cons
Everything above

Cons

Unreasonable
This job role suits someone who likes working for peanuts and can also be in 5 places at once and as strong as the hulk, such is how unreasonable and unethical some of the tasks they ask of you can be.

None
Cons
Poor pay rates

Unhappy place to work
Administrator (Former Employee) - Berkshire - 6 May 2021
Unhappy place to work. No support from management and too much back stabbing. No training on systems when promised and your job depended on it. Very negative experience.

Pay. No support or direction

Dont do it
Sales Advisor - Full Time (Former Employee) - Llantrisant - 19 April 2021
Basic salary was awful, commission was great IF you're on a up and running site otherwise there's nothing. Company full of empty promises. The whole company got bonus apart from the sales executives. You won't get anywhere in the company unless you're somewhat related to management
Pros
Commission
Cons
Empty promises. Work every weekend.
