Place Farm House Residential Care Home Employee Reviews

I have worked at Place Farm House for a few months having came from a nursing home, I can honestly say I love my job again! All the staff are amazing from management, seniors, carers to the chef and housekeepers, I felt like part of the team as soon as I started my 1st shift and it hasn’t changed. I feel very rewarded and supported in my job which really keeps me motivated. I honestly couldn’t ask for a better group of people to be working with and hope to be part of Place Farm House for many years to come.

Management Very disrespectful to staff the way they treat staff is poor it’s all good at first l know a few people that left because the way management spoke to them very unprofessional and rude

Management is very unprofessional and do not have a clue how to run a home.They don’t treat staff fairly, pay is very poor with no appreciation for hard work. The Kitchen is beyond filthy.

Awesome place to work

Having been a chef for many years in different institutions I craved the family environment and from day one working here I’ve enjoyed every second. When the excitement of going to work runs through your veins it no longer feels like work. We are all a family. It’s all about the residents and it’s paramount to me that they come first. The manager is by far the best I’ve ever had. Understanding, caring and goes the extra mile.amateurs like the one at placefarm are few and far between..#lovemyjob

Person Centered And Lots Of Fun

About a year ago I decided to leave the job I was currently in and apply for a Carer Position at PFH. I had my interview and when I was offered the job I couldn’t wait to start. PFH is a very warm, friendly, and lovely place to work. All staff are supportive of each other, everybody works so well as a team and the home runs very efficiently because of this. I’ve only ever known PFH to be what it is now during the Covid 19 pandemic and still with all that’s going on it’s a pleasure to work. I’m looking forward to seeing what PFH is like without any restrictions.

Best place I have ever worked

I love getting up and going to work, the staff are so friendly, helpful very supportive for any needs. The residents are like my little friends I adore them all. The home is so welcoming for all.

Excellent environment to work in.

I have worked at PFH for just under a year. I am very happy with the way it is run. I feel I can approach management if I have a issue or worried about something. Working at PFH has been a pleasure. The residents are amazing individuals as are there staff. We have amazing nights out as a team. I have already experience a wine and cheese night that is hosted annually. A night out to the dogs and an amazing works do at the Grand, all paid by our manager.

A great environment to work in.

I started working at Place Farm House in July 2017 .Place Farm House is a very close knit team, who pride themselves in delivering amazing personal care to the residents. The home is now more or less paperless as everything is done by computers and iPods including medication and Care Plans. The advantage of this enables the carers to spend more time with the residents this reflects in the homes lastest CQC report. If you like working in an environment where you get up to date training, support in using the latest technology and and getting 100% support from Management and your fellow colleagues you could not wish to work for a better company. The home prides itself on making the residents feel like it is their home and that is so important to the all the staff at Place Farm House Management included. The home is aiming for an outstanding CQC score and I am looking forward to being part of that.

An enjoyable resident focused care home

Day to day I find going to work an enjoyable experience, having the time to get to know and help resident on an individual level is the most rewarding aspect for me personally. You learn new things every day by being with the residents, about them, their life and families. The proactive encouragement from management for new ideas, from the days out with residents, playing games in the afternoon, taking them shops or on walks, to the use of apps and software to reduce time spent on daily admin tasks. Anything that helps improve things for the residents quality of life is always considered. As is the case in my line of work the money could be better to reflect the job, and the inconsistent hours can be a challenge at times. However, having worked at several homes in the past, the atmosphere and ongoing initiatives for improvement at this home is something that I appreciate and I'm still enjoying my time here..

Lovely staff and residents

Residents are well cared for thanks to the hardworking and friendly staff. Nice atmosphere in the home, felt welcome straight away. When staff is at full capacity all runs like clockwork.
