There is a friendly, fun atmosphere and people who work hard are rewarded.

Plowman Craven are constantly working on world class projects allowing everyone to be involved in some of the largest, most interesting projects in the UK. No two days are the same and there is a supportive, collaborative approach to problem solving.


The company has been set up as an Employee ownership Trust, Plowman Craven invests heavily in technology and research and development, The company seeks continual improvement in all areas of the business.


PC is expanding so it is busy but the employees are shareholders so the hard work will be rewarded

Good Place to Work

I enjoy working at Plowman Craven. Their hybrid working approach is excellent, they provide ample training and share knowledge within the business. Exciting projects and innovative tech with good support structures to give you all the support you need.

Interesting project, good company (and salary), but management must be improved

As stated between the pros and cons, generally the projects are interesting, but the management is terrible. I was relieved when I resigned from the job (see below for further details)


The possibility to work with interesting projects, The business is smaller compared to other big companies, therefore you will have more flexibility.

London office is run by commercial managers with no site experience, this is evident in the poor quality of support and logistics. Focus is entirely on profit with unfair deadlines and prevention of training to stop people leaving with more skills.

poor leadership and support, money is the key driver to human collateral, no real support for employees , poor quality of product highly recommend to avoid this business if possible low professionalism and conduct ethically

Wasted my time

Went for an apprenticeship, they had me working for a month as a role of an accountant with basically no training and then let me go because they wanted someone already trained now not in the year or so it would take to do so,

Leading Survey Company in UK

A fantastic bunch of people working here with a professional and safe attitude. Like all businesses, not everything is perfect, but if you speak up and you are speaking truths, your voice will be heard and actions will be taken As well as pioneering all the latest survey technology, the companies measured approach (if you will excuse the pun) is second to none. They have no fear when it comes to new technology and so if you are looking for a career in this industry, there is no better place The company rewards loyal service and also recognised those that go above and beyond their normal line of duty Operations us hectic and you wont get bored. There is lots of work to do, but if you are someone who likes a challenge, and you arent afraid to knuckle down and put in some hard graft, there are opportunities to progress and put a runber stamp of your CV

I didn't find all of the people that worked there friendly in fact some didn't even greet you when they walked in. other than that they are a well organised company

Work well in a team and enjoy a challenge

In the survey/engineering side of the business, sometimes the best and only way to learn a new trade is to actually having to get out their and do it! Sometimes, I agree that the best way to learn, is to learn from your mistakes, and the next time you do a similar job, you will be better. What I have learnt from doing lots of different survey jobs over the last 11 years, is that one of the most important things that the client is looking for with the data that you give them, is the QUALITY of the results. The time it takes you/your team to collate, process the data is also important, but if you rush the job too much becaue you might have a set dealine, I have learnt that this is where you/your team are more likely to make mistakes. To come back to the office after a day out collecting data etc and then spending time, hours etc, processing the data and then having it checked by management before it get sent off to the client is very rewarding and makes the job both enjoyable and rewarding.


Senior management/directors treated you as a person and not just a number


More Training would have been nice.
