The management never heard of mental health. The main laboratory manager is a borderline sociopath. She is very successful and good at her job but terrible with people. The end result of my stay has left me with depression which took me a year to get it under control. Working hours are great, 9-5, bank holiday off, occasional over-time here and there.
Pros
Pool and Table tenis available on site during lunch.
Cons
The current laboratory manager.
Manager / team are very friendly and brilliant to work with. You will definitely get exposure and also a great work life balance. Team night outs and social gatherings are great.
Pros
Night outs, social events, work, exposure
Cons
Salary
The people I worked with were great to be with, helpful and considerate. Management team always looking out for you always made sure you took your breaks and that you were ok and confident with what you were doing. It's a pity my contract came to an end.
Pros
Regular breaks, relaxing place to work.
Cons
3 shift pattern
Very inbred company, far more likey to suceed if you have a relative or friend in the management or office roles rather then if you are talented. Middle management have more faces then a second hand watch shop.
Not a great place to work, the team leaders i worked with weren't very nice people and are forever getting complained about. The common consensus is it used to be a good place to work but not now. Staffline are the worst agency i have worked for too with no sympathy for your personal circumstances.
Pros
Local
Cons
Line leaders
The days can be very busy and never really learnt anything new, the management wasnt very good they treated you like rubbish and treated each staff member different
Premier Foods is a decent place to work. The canteen is cleaning, an the supervisors are fair. The one problem is that its not regular work. It would be better if you got long termtermwork from them. There is plenty of overtime assell.
Amazing place to work. Menagment friendly and supportive. Job description as been described on interview. Team members friendly and supportive all the time. Very flexible and professional. I recommended to work for them
very good, well disciplined if late, learnt new things and good exercise gave me good work spots that fitted me standards and worked around times were i couldn’t be there
Appalling place run on thuggery and threats. You're expected to be on call to do overtime with zero notice usually as a result of lazy bullying managers not being up to the job of actually making the place run. A real throwback to the 50s
Pros
Short commute
Cons
None
The best place ever!
Great work conditions and friendly, helpful operators all across the factory. Management support is at the high standard, the same as food health and safety. The most enjoyable part of the job is that we are all like a family!
Pros
Free breakfast vouchers, cinema tickets, reward money.
Cons
some ares a bit hot to work during the summer.
The people are good, they really do look after each other. Management could be better, a lot of abuse of power. Work is repetitive but isn't too bad. Training could be improved in a lot of areas. Fairly easy work most of the time. Decent canteen facilities, good company schemes too.
Pros
Friendly Staff/Flexible Working
Cons
Management/Lack of Training
The workload is very fast paced, long shifts of standing and packing cakes - though frequent break cycles and suitable smoking area. Over-time always available and is often offered the same day or a few days in advance.
Management a little sloppy (especially in early morning shifts or when there are newcomers).
Very little job security but worth the money and experience. A few friendly faces: not a lot of time to interact with others outside of your shift/break cycle group.
Pros
Salary, Over-time
Cons
Management, Progression
One of the better seasonal jobs decent pay and conditions no chance of permanent work and they do hire some dead heads who can spoil it for everyone else
Good company and helpful staff .All you need is your attitude towards work should be positive and willing to learn new things.you need to be a team player .
My over all experience was amazing due to me becoming a new worker and experience the life of hard working people and for me to be a me to live this was amazing.
great place to work just unfortunately near impossible to get full time work or a contract from them so you will likely get 2 to 3 months work 2 or 3 times a year which inst ideal
team stimolante. azienda che lascia molta indipendenza al lavoratore. forte senso imprenditoriale.
buon posto di lavoro che facilmente concilia vita lavorativa e privata e allo stesso tempo da la possibilita di intraprendere un lavoro interessante.
You are given responsibility from Day 1. It's a full-on, hectic and demanding place to work, but the people are great to work with and you learn so much!
