I had a chance to work different shops in the area and everyone was different with kind of customs, being busy, opening hours, days etc. Company is providing a very good training and gives you a chance to improve your skills with many different ways.
No health and safety frequent sickness back-breaking shifts >60 hours and more no paid overtiimeruthlessly cruel management obviously don't care about shops or their staff
Maybe just for the experience in stress
Everything, Pret requires much but pays very little
No communication. The inconsistencies, the constant changes, the lack of communication drives everyone insane. The entire kitchen staff don't speak hardly english so communicating with them is extremely stressful! The tm on till is also the barista so you are having to make drinks in addition to serving customer.
Learned to stay calm in extremely stressful shops
Poor management. Poor staff attitude.
I loved working for Pret, sadly challenging times during Covid-19, meaning lots of redundancies. I won't score on that because I don't think it's fair. The company before this 'plandemic' had amazing benefits, could always grown within company. Of course you get good and bad days.
Pret A Manger is the best place if you want to start your career in the hospitality sector . Develop my skills Very good training - they have their own academy Nvq s Management skills ( kpi s , training new people , standards , rotas vs targets , shop control, financial paper work, stok takes )r.
worked for pret for almost 10 years , instore managers on a whole are great but group manager and/or ops managers think they are a law on to themselves , inappropriatly touching young teenagers at pret parties like preditors waiting to pounce , unrealistic targets , contradicting. too much pressure and life draining job, DONT WORK HERE
Pret is great place to work if you want to make some money - on management level. However pressure is so high you can't rest when you're off or even on holiday
money, health insurance & free food
long hours, non-existing work/life balance
AVOID Pret a Manger in Manchester CROSS STREET! There are fake, cheat team leaders (two women, one in front of house and one in the kitchen). Also they cheat mystery shopper - they hide plaque with the name of food. Be careful what you say to people there - everything can leak.
