Primark Employee Review
Not the best
Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - Liverpool, Merseyside - 27 September 2023
Good company to work in and all the staff are lovely. Made so many friends there and feel very accepted. However, if you’re a student it’s probably not the best to apply. They’re the most unaccommodating company I have ever worked for when it comes to student timetables and swapping hours, I’ve had nothing but hassle trying to swap one shift and the HR team is rather condescending and unwilling to make suitable changes.
Pros
Over time always available, great pay
Cons
Unaccommodating for students

Poor management and communication skills
Retail Sales Assistant (Former Employee) - Bracknell, Berkshire - 9 December 2023
I regret to say that my brief experience working at Primark Bracknell was incredibly disappointing, so much so that I couldn't endure beyond two shifts. The management is shockingly inadequate, displaying a blatant lack of regard for the well-being of their workers. Communication within the staff is abysmal. Simple things like break times during half-hour shifts were consistently overlooked, highlighting a clear disregard for basic communication skills. It created an atmosphere of confusion and neglect, ultimately contributing to my decision to cut short my employment. The mistreatment of workers is apparent, with a toxic environment that has left many, including myself, feeling undervalued and disrespected. The lack of recognition for extra efforts, particularly when taking on additional tasks at other stations, further demonstrates the disconnect between the staff and the management. Overall, the poor management, mistreatment of workers, and lack of effective communication make Primark Bracknell a place I would strongly advise against working at. It's a shame that such issues exist, and I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for necessary improvements.

Horrific standards
Retail Assistant (Former Employee) - Trafford Centre, Greater Manchester - 9 December 2023
As a part time employee you are only allowed 3 sick days in a whole year when you’re working 3 days a week! Managers here are very unprofessional, they clearly have favourites and do not care what they say or do
