Overworked and underpaid staffs. Lunch given to staffs as promised but quality sometimes not so good. Transportation not good for yhe working hours if you dont drive.

Pros

Most staffs are friendly.

Cons

13.5 hours long shift but rarely leave on time due to work load. Unpaid break, unpaid extra hours.

Its the site!!

The site I worked at are an asset to Priory itself. Manager has a can do attitude that goes above an beyond for her service, services users and staff. The staff team are amazing and treat residents how they would like their family's to be treated. Service users make the job, Caring for the guys has been one of the most rewarding and treasured times of my life. Leicester Site L.

Poor

Staff are over worked, under paid. Absolutely ridiculous place for staff, nevermind actually being a patient here. The stuff you see would give you nightmares

Rubbish pay

We as HCA work our socks off with little to no thanks. Pay rates are ridiculously low. Banks HCA do the exact same as HCAs if not more at times and they get no holiday pay, pay rates are lower that regular staff and they get no maternity leave. Just not much respect for HCAs in general

Rubbish

The hospital was absolutely rubbish, the staff gossip a lot and regardless if you do a good job, you’ll never be recognised for it. The manager are terrible and could not manage a **** up in a brewery. The HCA’s don’t care about the service users they are there to support. A lot of cliques, be careful what you say to anyone. You’ll become enemy number one if you’ve been there for a short period of time and do well. The other staff will become jealous. The director of the hospital at the time was out of touch with the service users and only showed his face once in a blue moon. Please stay away from this hospital

Not too bad

Really supportive team, great location to get there by public transport and great place to work. Training could be better but all care company training is similar

Liked most of the staff and residents

Started as a maintenance assistant. Thought I was going to be an assistant to the maintenance. However turned out just to be me. No tools, no funding for new tools. Brought in my own tools but told I wasn't insured to use them. I suppose I could have used teeth and fingers. Started on a salary of 85 pence above minimum wage. Dropped to minimum wage in the April without any consultation.Huge workload of reactive maintenance, maintenance checks and gardening of a big site.Lasted 3 months.Management and staff sorry to see me go.Profits before people

Pros

Lovely residents and staff

Cons

Low pay and over worked

Staff great, pay not so great

Staff work thoroughly to ensure that service users enjoy and embrace life, staff work hard but don't enjoy the low wage and morale given from the higher ups, sometimes the shift patterns are too tiring and long, but a very enjoyable experience

Very bad experience. High risk of burn out.

What is the best part of working at the company?Worked with some fantastic colleagues. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?Poor management. Lack of leadership. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Blame culture when things go wrong. Always looking for someone to blame and no efforts to support staff wellbeing. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Stressful. Lack of support from management. Always working with no time for breaks due to staff shortages and high agency staff usage.

Would not recommend the Priory

What is the best part of working at the company? Not a very good company to work for. The management never supports Staff. They would rather accept the money they receive for thr patients, rather than move the patients on. Staff never stay long for that reason. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?NOT getting support from the HD. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? The atmosphere I'd tense patients attacks on female staff.

I go to work knowing that everyday can never be same.

I end every working day feeling happy and fulfilled to have been able to put smiles on the face of the service users and colleagues. Most days end with great enthusiasm for the next day

A great place to work because of the patients and staff only

A good job for psychology graduates who want to gain clinical experience in a psychiatric hospital. However, it is heartbreaking watching corners being cut and patients not receiving the quality care they deserve. As well as Staff burnout due to a lack of adequate staffing, resources, and support. It is only the staff and patients that make the job enjoyable.pros: staff Amazing patients learning opportunities cons:paymanagement lack of resources understaffing burnout

Decent shift pattern working 14 days out of 28

It is a good place to work and learn but as a health care worker you are not valued and not paid enough for the abuse you will receive. The nurses constantly keep receiving pay rises but not the health care workers.

Not safe

Staff are put on to support residents when not fully trained. you are expected to go out into the community without a drink or food while supporting someone. Then you are expected to put your hand in your own pocket and pay for things the residents want to buy if they don't have enough money for something. You never get your money back anyway. you are always told by seniors that the residents you are taking out is very happy and in a great mood even when they are not, just so you get them out of the house. you are made to go on extremely long distances on your own while supporting someone that could attack you. Seniors don't want to know when you have a complaint and just shut you down. there is always constant gossiping in the kitchen about other staff members. Some residents miss out on hours of support but thats ok the ones that get more hours come first. at the end of your shift you feel drained after working for 12 hours on support, while some staff never have to support more challenging residents.

Pros

shorter shifts for some staff

Cons

everyting

Toxic atmosphere

Toxic place to work, new staff are bullied by seniors. Staff aren't given a chance and aren't shown how to do the job properly. it's always your fault when something wrong happens. I've never felt so unwanted in a job before. Save yourself and don't apply

Pros

nothing

Cons

Bullying

Terrible

Using untrained agency staff, short staffed all the time, management does not listen to your concerns, and the work load was stressful. Wish I had left sooner.

Pros

Some of the staff

Cons

Long hours

Okay

If you enjoy working with patients and really getting to know them this job is perfect and a lot of staff truly care about them. But there is a clique and staff can be very rude to you, management will put you down. Quite a toxic environment
