Productive and Good Job satisfaction

Great sense of team work and culturally diverse. Worked for the company for 9 years and they value the importance of all their staff as a whole. The values they advocate for is what makes the job so satisfactory

company is a joke

The bad workers are taken by the hand and get away with everything and good workers are treated like dirt I worked for the company for a few years and I raised concerns within the company and it never got dealt with and never got a exit interview

Currently employed at priory

Home manager very structured and approachable, Priory as a whole though are not as good at implementation, and employees needs are seldom met. As a group they would be better placed to make sure that overtime was paid were required, and although residents needs are a priority they could do much more for staff.

To many cook's?

The problem with this company to many friends and family working together. If you report a person the others will shun you. And make it difficult to work management then turn on you.

Lots of changes and some respect for employees needed , also safe guarding .. paid when off sick due to work incidents ... more for the service users tondo to keep occupied

Some of great staff members but not beneficial work place

I worked there just over a year. There is not much to do in that kind of place. You had to ask ur senior what you could do as most of support staff were just sitting and doing nothing. As a new staff member I did everything while watching others that has been there for years did nothing. If u are a good friend of senior or manager u would have the best time there ever. The easiest residents to deal with and the easiest cleaning duties to do or none at all. The breaks dont exist for 12h shifts as usually you are eating beside your own residents. The cleaners dont do much as well as all other members of staff are doing there duties. Some of the people who works there are having more benefits if the managments are friends with them. Very unorganised. Long hours. Not extra paid. Many times short salary if u did any extra shifts. U had to keep an eye for ur money as it was always not right.. no possibilities for getting promoted, if so there is nothing higher to go to... there is many more things...no training offers to get any higher courses or education. No help offered. Many things said were just forgotten or not dealt with by managment... Whenever I had a problem with my resident there was always someone to help me or support me from other staff members.

shocking place

Shocking place to work, Management hang you out to dry. No resident should be placed within this facility as they are not suited. Staff are not trained to deal with the residents complex behaviours. Stay away from this company.

Worst place I have ever worked

This is by far the worst place I have ever worked. The management are uninterested, the staff are gossipy and not open to newcomers. I felt excluded and victimised from the beginning. New hires do all the work while existing staff sit around. Hours are long and the job is difficult when you are pulling the weight of several lazy staff members who prefer to watch tv with residents or take them outside for a smoke and call that their day job! Sometimes I did not get paid for the hours I worked and had to chase it up. It was rectified the next month but when I have a mortgage, bills to pay and family to support it is difficult to cope. Management does not want to listen when an issue arises and simply expect staff to deal with it themselves; and I have no idea why they employ cleaners because care staff seem to do most of it. If you have any self respect of not apply for a job with this company........you might get it!

Excellent place to work

I work in the Belfast home and I honestly can't recommend it enough! We are one big family that work very hard for our residents. The nurses are great and the manager is friendly and nice to go to

Lovely and homely environment

I've been working with the company for two years now.  I see this work place as a big family looking after each others staff and residents as this is their home and staff spends most of the time here than at home. Sometimes is hard and stressful because it's a big responsability we have in our hands and we want to do our best. We moan we cry but in the end we all have a laugh together like any other family. This staff does go over to do their best and take the extra mile it's a pity that some people can't see it. It isn't a easy job and this staff does a brilliant job and it's recognised. Dealing with challenging behaviour is extremely stressful and our staff is very well experienced dealing with it. I have a lot of time for my team and to my residents and so do they I think we work very well together and we came along very strong. Our management is very approachable, fair, caring and deals with issues very well to ensure a high quality standard of care to the residents. The home is very clean and spacious and offers a good selection at meal times.
