Huge opportunity to develop into whatever career you want in the world of finance.A place where everyone wants you to succeed if you put effort in. The gold standard for finance training where opportunities are abundant.

Productive and Fun Workplace

Did not have to do very much. Pay was mid. Company culture was ok. Benefits were ok as was holiday time. A bit tight on bonuses. Have to work long hours sometimes. On the whole ok

Highly toxic work environment with no work satisfaction

I put my all into gaining employment in a Big 4 company like PwC thinking it would be a great place to work and that I would thrive there as I have a genuine interest and knowledge of all things business. However having got a job in PwC Belfast (Audit) I quickly realised that it was not the place to be. Work was an absolute shambles on the daily, managers contradicting themselves with one saying to test a control one way and another manager said to do a totally different way. There was blatant arrogance from some senior members of staff who talked down to you when asking for help on work. Next to no recognition for massive effort put in, and management were always quick to highlight underperformanes and rarely highlighted good performances (unless you were in the "click"). This constant negativity from management made my working day an absolute misery and I was left with no option but to cut short my time at PwC for the sake of my happiness. If you want a more positive working environment, work for a smaller firm where managers and owners tend to care more for their staff and also provide appropriate direction for daily tasks. The only saving grace for working there is that the other associates and senior associates tend to be very nice and bubbly people. Without that I wouldn't have lasted longer than a few months.

Middling

The business model heavily relies on client engagements, and economic downturns can affect job stability.bPwC is highly competitive, and this can sometimes lead to a demanding work culture.

Pretend to care about staff but don’t

Treated like a number rather than a human. Little room for progression, lots of favouritism shown for certain individuals, managers could care less about staff, consistent overtime (unpaid)

Busy

Busy but nice people working there. The busy season is very bad and long hours. Pay does not compensate for bad work life balance. Social and young people work there. Benefits are okay.

Young, relaxed culture. Good bonuses. Flexible working

Flexible working, plenty of opportunities to try a different role or career path, good bonuses, great people, plenty of mental health support services, international opportunities.

Great For early career

Great job to start your career, you will learn a lot which bodes well for any job you move to. Pay is lower than others in the Big 4. It is also quite hard to progress and get promoted.

Work hard play hard

Can be a rewarding place to work if put loads of hrs in. Management typically way overpaid in comparison to associate level staff. Other benefits are good.

very fun and active workplace

The office is very good. The culture is good as well and you genuinely feel valued as an employee. PWC take good care of your health and have various benefits such as charity days and private health care.

It’s okay

Great team but a little directionless and so much secrecy that it’s hard to know what the strategy is and where we’re going. Senior Leadership so far removed from the rest of the team.

Productive

The job is OK. The pay could be better, and management could take into account the opinions of the seniors and juniors when making decisions relating to work

Learning environment

Good experience. Learned a lot about CRM’s and ATS systems and projects on how to improve work life balance at the company. Lots of requisitions but got to see the fulll 360 recruitment cycle

Excellent place

The insight programme was decent however somewhat boring. It felt more like an advertisement pitch of apprenticeship schemes rather than to equip students with skills or insight into tasks.

Great place

Highly reccomend working in Pwc , great place and friendly atmosphere .The only cons are the pay check as they are not giving so there is a huge rotation within the staff .

High workload and tangible career perspectives

The leadership needs to prioritize the workload better and support fellow colleagues in delivering the results to the client. In the meantime, promotions are frequent.

Great place to work and learn but politics impacts progression

Great place to work and learn but politics impacts progression If you Network well and are loud abour what you do- you would progressIf you are humble ans do your work well but dont feel the need to shout on social media about what you are doing - you wouldn't progressAs i progressed up towards senior manager, the role became more sales-y than substance with delegation involved to staff who meant well but were often novices in the field

Pros

Variety of clients, flexible working

Cons

Long hours, politics

Ok workplace, nice office. Long hours and often not rechinisedn

It's okay, sometimes you aren't listened to by managers. Office space is really nice. However your often not recognised for your hard work which is really disheartening
