PwC Employee Review
Archaic working style and incredibly low salary
As a typical employee, you're expected to work based on your expertise, which is great, but to a certain extent it is problematic because there are people working there for 20 years and the practices are very archaic, so this becomes conflicting since what you believe to be your normal work tasks are constantly being questioned. what you learned: nothing management: old style workplace culture: a lot of red tapes the hardest part of the job: to be unable to do my job as I would anywhere else the most enjoyable part of the job: the work-life balance, ability to set my working hours. The managers do not necessarily take actions on toxic people that can harm the workplace, which is a real pity as there are a lot of nice people there, I have made lots of friends.
Pros
Ability to set working hours, work establity pretty safe even with global crises
Cons
Lack of tech maturity, old fashioned ways of working style, really low salaries

Forced Toxic Culture
Team Leader / Senior Associate (Current Employee) - Belfast - 10 November 2022
Management style is of an old school mindset, work hard and play hard. Overtime for Senior Associates does not exist but expected for projects. Your performance in your job alone is not enough to progress however they will tend hire someone in for a role above you which cuts off progression. Management are able to give feedback however they like downwards but shy away from requesting it back as it impacts bonus and promotions. Culture is pushed to be collaborative but too forced and doesn't reflect client facing teams. Upon joining can be put into any role and if you don't enjoy it then it looks like you're not committed. Team Leader role doesn't reflect job role or duties appropriately.
