I started with Randolph Hill in February 2017 as a care assistant, since then I have had the opportunity to progress to CTP and then to Care Coordinator. There is always a friendly and positive atmosphere within the company and the office and there are always opportunities to progress and improve your knowledge.Within my current role, I work closely with all the office staff, carers and customers and every day throws new challenges, no two days are the same! If anyone has a concern or needs advice the office has always made it their top priority to be supportive and find ways to help.I have always enjoyed working for this company and I find that the company always adapts to change well, particularly through the pandemic. The benefits of working with Randolph is not only the security of the job, but the positive effect it has on your life.I couldn't recommend joining Randolph Hill enough.

Pros

Job security, salary, mileage allowance, good atmosphere, friendly staff

Cons

It is unfortunate that you feel you have not had a good experience working at our nursing home in Dunblane. It appears that you are Bank staff but we are unable to speak with you directly about this given that you have left this feedback anonymously. The management at Dunblane are committed to providing a supportive working environment and are pleased that staff feedback tends to be very favourable and many have worked at the nursing home for a number years.

Thank you for your feedback. It's great to hear about the support that you have with Randolph Hill.

Hard work but fabulous team and residents

Meeting and working with the residents is fabulous when we get to know each other. It’s great, they’re people not numbers. Some senses of humour can be hilarious. Use of hoists, standards etc are all approved and training given. It’s honestly the best place I’ve worked.

Pros

Lovely colleagues, management and residents

Cons

Long hours

Thank you for your feedback. It is good to know that you feel happy at work and enjoy getting to know the residents.

Un empathic

The worst company I have ever worked for. They treated you like a number not a person. Were very rude and un sympathetic to staff. Actually told staff they aren’t valued and can replace them with a 100 people. I found they de value there staff and there is no positivity or moral, Horrible management that will throw you under the bus and lie to protect themselves. I would never recommend this company to anyone!Thru are not willing to work with you when it comes to work and child care. Pretty much do what they say and if you don’t agree then there is the door, instead of taking suggestions to further benefit the residents and there level of care. With that company there is no team

Pros

Some good care staff

Cons

Long hours, de valued, un sympathetic and not a team company

Good company, could be better

The company wants to be people centred but sadly at times it is task oriented. This makes is very difficult to get to know the people we care for and to provide a person centred care. The shifts were long and fast paced, you end the day physically and mentally tired. The shift pattern makes difficult to have a life really.

Great team work

Worked here over many years with a fantastic team of both nurses and care staff. Staff are all extremely hard working and passionate about there role within the nursing home .Job was very fast paced and hard work but also a lot of job satisfaction.

Horrible

Worst place I have ever worked. If you want horrible shift pattens, lack of pay, bullying colleagues and the worst management to exist then apply now!!

Hard but fair

Working as a nurse for Randolph hill for the last 16 months. Relocated back to Scotland from abroad. Working in the UK is challenging as it stands, the management team have a focus on staff and the culture. Would recommend if looking to move home.

Pros

Flexible for family

not good place to work

No good place for the working. I wish I had not worked here. I am trained nurse and I didn't like the work ethic of the home. I found the staff to be tired and fed up. Overworked and under staffed.

Pros

salary

Cons

long hours badly managed

nice work place environment

Duties include keeping the home nice and tidy making sure all residents rooms and clean and tidy on a daily basis also making sure all areas residents use are nice and tidy. I also try and help residents if they need any assistance.

Ok place to work no chance of advancement

Every day varies but is an enjoyable job. Management can be hit or miss. The hardest part of the job is when a resident passes away and the most enjoyable is getting to know the residents. Think management need to take a good look at hourly paid staff and give them a substantial rise

Pros

Good working conditions

Cons

rate of pay
