So you’ve heard of Randox.

Maybe you’re familiar with our sponsorship of the world’s greatest race, the Randox Health Grand National. Or perhaps you recognise the name Randox as being one of the partners in the government’s testing programme for COVID-19.

But what exactly does Randox do?

Well, our main job is improving healthcare through innovative blood-science diagnostics.

It sounds complicated, but it actually takes place every day behind the scenes of GP surgeries and hospitals. Around 70% of all medical decisions are based on laboratory results, and so, not surprisingly, we believe that earlier, more accurate and more accessible diagnostics are the key to improving global health and saving lives.

Overworked
Non optional overtime was killer especially with the 12 hour shifts that were being put in. Management inexperienced and HR so hard to get a hold of.

Better for graduates to learn within industry, not for professionals looking to make a career
High staff turnover, no work-life balance. Too many employees coming and leaving, your just a number and they can fill your place easily. No progression for experienced professionals in the field. Better suited to graduates looking for some experience within industry.

Do not work here
The owner is a micro manager, the pay is terrible and there are no bonuses. There is no insurance, no paid sick leave and no other benefits.Training and health & safety are a joke. There are a lot of awkward ways of doing things that are not written down anywhere and you will only know if you went wrong when somebody shouts at you.

Good company
Good company to work for. Work is interesting. Some people especially managers can be hard to deal with at times but other than that absolutely good place to work.

As per other reviews, very volatile shifts, poor high level management
Laboratory analysts for covid work use automated machinery which just required one pipetting of liquid and interpreting a graph, LIMS was fairly robust. Day to day tasks are okay.Staff are in fear of quality teams (no constructive conversations to discuss improvements) and stories are rife of entire shifts being sacked on the spot. Upper management are patronising whilst on site to staff, meanin...
