HR Manager in London, Greater London

Happy at Work
Like every job there are ups and downs. One thing I have found is that I am supported, involved and given the freedom to work and this does make me accountable for the job I am employed to do. The senior management team are open, friendly and engaging and do hold people at the heart of the business. It is a job where you are expected to deliver as delivering profit is vital for the success of the business. Over the last 2 years working practices have been adapted, there were many things set up to help socialise people (from a distance and virtually) and we had clubs of interest set up, pub quizes and a virtual awards event where may of us did dress up! I enjoy working with RBH it never stands still so you do have to be prepared to be adaptable and flexible. We work with some amazing hotels and people.

Poor pay for inner London location.
Culturally great and fun place to work with some amazing people.Fast paced, can be stressful.Poor pay.High turnover of staff- not surprising. Some of the Management are helpful but miscommunication within management teams, leading to frustrations and this is certainly evident when errors are made and then impacted to staff, causing low morale. Some mangers are fantastic. Upbeat, encouraging and optimistic regardless of any given situation. Mixed bag of opinions.

Management company is a great place to work - love the culture, work hard, and it's recognised. Flexibility to manage work life balance
Each day differs, working with people and hotels allows that. We are given the autonomy to deliver the results that benefit the business. The last year has been difficult to maintain a culture but believe we still have a fabulous "family" type of belonging.

Toxic place
Don’t even know where to start, the managers come and go as they please but get all the benefits like nights out paid for ect. While the rest of the staff are there dealing with complaints with no trained staff with them to deal with it. Very very cliquey. At the start we got incentives for selling breakfast but then they took them off us with no reason, they said you get free food on shift but you don’t. Managers are terrible.

Company with Integrity
Throughout my employment I found they acted with integrity, their ways of working encouraged collaboration and a great sense of teamwork and belonging.
