RedCross Employee Review

It’s an assembly line, you’re nothing but a number, very poor communication and management is bottom of the barrel.

Hours are horrible if you have any life whatsoever outside of work. Forget about drs appointments, anything you would need to do during 9-5 hours. Vacation you will earn but won’t be able to use. You earn floating holidays but again due to not being able to keep staff you can hang that up too. Personal issues, death in the family, if you don’t get your shift covered you will be written up, regardless of the issue. There is absolutely no team it’s one man for himself. You will meet some really nice coworkers but they will be gone before you can barely learn their name. You can move up really fast, but only because they need a body in that position and if they haven’t worked you to death yet that will be you. You will make pretty good money but definitely not enough for the work that is expected, and believe nothing is good enough. If your schedule says 4am-3pm you can almost count on being done at 5 or later. If you’re the driver chances are you will be unloading and putting up all supplies from that day by yourself. Communication is basically nonexistent unless some major big dogs catch wind of it. Employees will be written up for attendance but not work performance so you will likely have a staff that disappears or just flat out won’t work during a blood drive. Some of the conditions you can expect to work in is very hot or cold rooms. Pretty much literally anywhere a bed can be put you can expect to work. You MIGHT get a 30 min break but you can absolutely forget a 15 min break. That is figured into your driving to and from the work site. Chances are you won’t be able to leave -
